In this modern era of spiking drinks I would decline

If I am alone in the bar, I will most likely refuse it (being alone in the bar usually means I am waiting for somebody, or that I want to be alone - both cases are uninviting; especially the latter - I know I am a coward, but I don't like talking to strangers).

If I am with a partner, I will definitely refuse it.

If I am with a party of friends, with whom I will go from the bar (i.e., I am not going off alone), I _may_ look at who sent it and decide to accept it. In a party - the more, the merrier. :) And see what happens from there.

I would say, "Although I appreciate the gesture, I am perfectly satisfied with what I have here". This could mean not just the drink but the company you are with. Usually the waitperson will point out to you without you asking who is the deliverer, so you can just smile a "thank you, no thank you" smile in that direction and get back to the conversation at your table.

not drink it! Are you serious - in this day and age you cant take the chance - sure it would be a nice gesture, but with the amount of ryhipnol going around I think it may be safer to pass - or you could always send the cost of a bacardi over - buy my own drink then and you still get the credit!!!

Suspicious would be rife... i mean unfortuately drink spiking is on the increase so i wouldn't trust that the drink was safe because i don't know the person. Also its a little bit of a show off gesture and that isn't really attractive.

I would find out who sent it, then ask them to buy me a fresh one if they wanted I would not drink the first one, as it could be spiked! For a chat-up line it would be great to speak to the women first then offer her a drink don't presume she will drink it as she might be a recovering alcoholic or on medication or she just doesn't want to accept drinks of strangers. Speak to the woman first, any woman who are worth it will listen first. Any women who insults men are not worth it.

Try to see who sent it, if they look nice say thank you, if they have no teeth and a rabid dog on a lead , or if a gang of guys are laughing and leering. Politely say no thank you.

Instead of wasting your money why not send the barman to ask if they would like a drink first!

Do not accept! There are men out there, in scary abundance, that spike drinks for pure sport and to rape women. If a man was really interested in you he would not try this tacky and dangerous approach.

I'd ask the bartender who bought it and then bring it back to them. If I liked the look of them I would ask them for a diff drink [in case they spiked it] and if i didn't I would say thanks but I am not interested. Simple as.

Look over the guy who sent it & decide whether to encourage further communication or not...
