seems poeple try to insult the people who only want to know there own language of where they live, why is that? is it because we dont care to sh!ts about a second language from a country who cant take care of themself so need to come over and break the laws of our country then want us to learn there sh!t?there are many things i could say here but this one mainly goes out to the no second language.

a second language doesnt equal more money, this day in age it is who you blow not what you know. i got college i got a high school diploma i got experiance.
what i dont have is a mexican backround or a good mexican sister that can give good head to a future boss

just my point, i live in america where english is our language i should not have to learn another one if i dont like to for the fact i dont plan on moving to mexico or europe or even visiting those places there for i refuse to learn there language.
they came to my home remember they should learn my language.

You shouldn't have to learn another language. We are American and we speak ENGLISH in America. If they don't want to assimilate, they need to leave. Would you go to Mexico and demand that they speak English? No, because Americans aren't that stupid.

I started learning French 12 years ago, and I wish I never would have started it. I think learning 2nd languages other than English is overrated, considering English is so dominant. I know it takes an average immigrant to Quebec, Canada 5 years to learn French, which explains why most anglophones don't know any French here. Learning a language is a great idea, except you can do so many other better things in the same amount of time.
I suggest the U.S. resist becoming officially bilingual because in Canada, it's not fair for anglophones, and it has almost led to Quebec separating from Canada. The Federal government and federally regulated jobs are dominated by French people, since they are the only ones who are bilingual generally. All our Prime Ministers are bilingual,and mostly French as well.
Well, Canada is officially bilingual and is 1/4 French speaking, and it looks like the U.S. will be 1/4 Spanish speaking in 50 years.

Well, in your case, before you can speak a second language, you would first need to speak one properly. Look at the way you type. Have you ever heard of the 'Shift' key? Your grammar and spelling are horrible. You say you have a college degree, but it doesn't seem like it. What college did you go to, Hillbilly State, or Redneck Tech? Nobody forces anybody to learn a second language. It is people like you that keep this country down by choosing to remain ignorant. In Europe, practically everyone speaks at least two languages. If you dont want to learn to speak Spanish, don't. I chose to learn it along with French, and guess what? I do make more money because I speak Spanish. Stop watching Nascar and go read a grammar book. Learn to spell.

Travel to another country and open your eyes! Practically every other place besides America has to adapt and speak with several different language barriers. The actual language in america was native american when England invaded. So, which language didn't you want to learn?
It would make you more intelligent if you did learn another language especially for as angry as you are. You might learn you have something in common with alot of people if you would just open your eyes and shut your mouth for a minute.

If I had wanted to learn a second language it was offered when I went to school. I didn't want to learn then and I don't want to learn now.
When I was managing apartments it pissed me off when I had to stop everything I was doing to go get someone to interpret for me when a Mexican or Guatemalans came in. If you didn't accommodate right then because nobody on the property knew how to speak Spanish that I could use (because of the privacy act you can't just use anyone)they would leave and come back with a worker from some help the illegals crap and I would get chewed out by them because I don't know there language and was supposed to have someone at all times on the property to translate. We can't afford to hire someone to just speak for someone who should know how to speak some English is they are supposed to be a legal immigrant.

Well, i am american, born and raised speaking english and italian. I learned mandarin chinese and speak that fluently. I learned italian because that was my families language, i learned mandarin because i married a chinese woman, but i would never learn spanish because illegal immigrants refuse to learn english when they come here, or any language that an illegal immigrant speaks, im not picking on the mexicans.

You shouldn't have to learn another language! It's our REPUBLICAN government trying to accommodate the Mexicans because they think they are "Good for the economy" If one comes up to you and asks you something in Spanish tell them in ENGLISH that you have no idea what they are saying and if they can't speak the language of this country to GO BACK TO MEXICO WHERE SOMEONE CAN UNDERSTAND THEM!

I' m from Poland and besides Polish, I speak English (because I have to), German, Russian, a little French and Italian. I learn another language because I like, because I have to, because it's necessary, because it's easy and comfortable...

Besides it is your decision with whom you talk a second language or not. If it is your opinion that illegals should speak English, than you speak with them in English. With international business partners you speak in their language because it is good for business.
