well i think if someone is gonna kill themself of hurt someone else they should go, but all someone has to do to get you put in is file a mental health warrant and be over 18

Umm...let's see....When I went to a pharmacy, the salesman gave the medicines first to the person who had come after me. Now that was a really stupid thing to do, with a madman like myself. So, for the next 5 minutes, I was busy shattering his pharmacy glass windows and racks. The next day, I willingly went to the Psychiatry Hospital, and now I have a good rapport with all the crazy people in the world. Another benefit is that I can kill anyone and would still not be arrested, coz I have a certificate that proves I'm insane. Hahaha! Now where's my chain-saw.....

When your life has crossed over to seriously affect the lives of others...wether financially, emotionally, or you are a danger to yourself...or others...I know a man who is so sick that he is abusing his family and refuses to work...costing his elderly mother thousands a year and sits frozen in time...he is draining her financially and refuses to take a job unless he gets paid 22.oo an hour...he is 150 lbs overweight and threatens suicide on a continued basis...he is slowly killing his mother and will not get any help instead just keeps depleting the familys money. To me, that person needs help badly and is either unwilling or cannot see how sick he is..

I've worked in one a few times (I'm with a fill in agency) and most of the people there are either suicidal (depression) or have drug dependencies. Only a very few have serious disabilities. Hearing voices for example, (schizophenia) doesn't keep you from functioning.

Sending a bunch of young Americans that only signed up for weekends and an education....
(not WENT and signed up, but signed up in high school gyms across America when they were seniors in high school and YOU CAME TO THEM)....
... to the wrong country to fight the wrong war for the wrong reasons.
I think that should at a minimum call for a straight-jacket, and solitary confinement.

Any behavior that is harmful to themselves or others. They should definitely be in a place where they are under constant medical care.
