"And behold, one came and said unto him, ‘Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?’

And he said unto him, ‘Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.’ "
[The Bible, Mathew 19:16-17]

Jesus (pbuh) did not say that to have the eternal life of paradise, man should believe in him as Almighty God or worship him as God, or believe that Jesus (pbuh) would die for his sins. On the contrary he said that the path to salvation was through keeping the commandments. It is indeed striking to note the difference between the words of Jesus Christ (pbuh) and the Christian dogma of salvation through the sacrifice of Jesus (pbuh).

Christians do follow the 10 commandments of God.

Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

2006-09-05 03:41:42 · answer #2 · answered by Sky_blue 4 · 0 0

Sir....Christians do follow the commandments. Jesus broke the 10 commandments that God gave to Moses down into two commandments: Love The Lord with all your heart and all your mind and all your heart, and love your neighbor as you love yourself. From these one has an idea as to their general duty once they have accepted Jesus as their Lord and personal savior.

well then, you know that NO ONE except JESUS is perfect.
There are points for trying but all fall short of the glory of God. God knows this....always has...always will. He also knows what is in a person's heart.
Judge not lest ye be judged.
Have a nice day!

Amen!!! the path to heaven is indeed keeping the commandments and not by the sacrifice of Jesus (pbuh)

you are sadly misinformed!!! i have Jewish friends and i never hated them nor have any Muslim i know!!!

the problem isn't with the JEWS it's with Israel. and Israel ALONE!!
I've known MANY Jews people and i truly love them. but that doesn't mean i should agree with an illegal occupation and the mass murder of the Arabs in occupied Palestine.!!

Please don't misqote thebible : Matthew 19:16- 17. Now look! a certain one came up to him and said :"Teacher, what good must I do to get everlasting life?"
He said unto him:"Why do you ask me about what is good? One there is that is good. If though, you want to enter into life, observe the commandments continually."

How can you generalise that Christians does not follow the Commandments. Do you think that because you quote some verses from the Koran you are anymore holy or that you follow the Commandment. Just keep your judgment to yourself. Do not judge others.

christians don't follow the commandments because when jesus came to earth he fulfilled all the commandments and gave the commandment of loving your neighbor as you love yourself. when jesus is your savior you recognize he fulfilled all these, and that he was the sacrifice for all of your sins.

If you follow the Bible, why do you hate Jews and do everything you can to kill us?

It is just like some Christians who try to exclude us from our own holy book and persecute us in the name of our own God.
