It depends on where you live, but I think an average rate is about $30. I work at a vet's office...and the going rate in the south is a rage of about $20-50. It's more if you want a special cremation, or if you want to stay with your pet during the procedure.

Oh, I am so sorry. Some vets will do that free as a "service" for the animal's sake. Others may charge by weight of the dog, since the amount of medicine will vary based on weight. Last time I had to put one down, it was $60 US. Terribly sorry about your dog.

Depends on the size of the dog, the location, and the vet. Sorry I couldn't be more specific :-( Recommend calling local vets

Both vet clinics in my town charge $40...

May I go now
Don't you think the time is right?
May I say good-bye to pain-filled days
and endless lonely nights?
I've lived my life and done my best,
an example tried to be,
So can I take that step beyond
and set my spirit free?
I didn't want to go at first.
I fought with all my might!
But something seems to draw me now
to a warm and loving light.
I want to go! I really do!
It's difficult to stay.
But I will try as best I can
to live just one more day .
To give you time to care for me
and share your love and fears.
I know you're sad and are afraid
because I see your tears.
I'll not be far, I promise that,
and hope you'll always know
that my spirit will be close to you
wherever you may go.
Thank you so for loving me.
You know I loved you too.
That's why it's hard to say good-bye
and end this life with you.
So hold me now, just one more time,
and let me hear you say,
because you care so much for me,
you'll let me go today.

Prices vary from vet to vet... I would call your vet (if you have one... assuming you do from having a dog) and ask... Im sure most vets could tell you over the phone.

We had to put our beloved dog down 2 years ago. He got so sick he couldn't walk or eat. He was 14 years old. Anyway, it cost $95.00 to have it done and was well worth the price.

In Canada it is approximately $120.00. It breaks down to $80.00 to do the deed. $40.00 for communal burial (they dispose of the ashes). $80.00 to bring the ashes back to the Veterinary Hospital for you to pick up and dispose of as you wish.

some just charge for the medicine, charge extra for disposal
some just charge by weight, call your vet and ask
