A Tuxedo cat is just a common term. It is not a breed unfortunatly. Your cat is what is considered a DLH - Domestic Long Hair. Some of the possibilty of breeds he/she could be mixed with are:
Main Coon
Norweigen Forest Cat ( chances are slim)
Angora
Those are the most common DLH mixes. If you were hoping to breed a pure pred, this cat is not the way to go.

Tuxedo is just the coloration, like calico is just a coloration and not a breed. Most cats these days in the US are called American Long Haired or American Short Haired if no distinct breed can be determined.

Tuxedo is a color pattern, not a breed.
You may just have a long haired domestic.. mixed breed. Important thing is that you''ve got a good companion. Papers don't count unless you are wanting to get into the cat breeding business.

tuxedo isnt a breed but more of a color. Most cats are a mix of breeds and youmight not be able to know unless you purchased it from a breeder. Sounds to me like a DLH kitty but maybe try posting a pic of the kitty and we might be able to help

tuxedo is just the black and white coloring . long or short hair, its most likely a mixture of a variety of cat, norwegian forest cat sounds a bit affected and i doubt yours came from norway, i have a black american shorthair and a kitten that looks just like a himalayan blue point but he came from a batch of mixed breeds, he doesnt have she smooshed face but hes sure a cutie. i love him no matter how he began.

do you have a picture of your cat? without actually seeing the cat it's difficult to tell what breed it is, as tuxedo is just a coat pattern.

Pretty hard to tell you by the description you wrote, the hair length and color aren't the only determining factors. what the face looks like, body style etc matters as well. My best suggestion is the next time you have tyour cat at the vet for shots or an exam...ask!
