ignore all previous posts. your camera has an automatic red-eye, deleter, and so it has an algorithm to find two objects at a certain distance that are red, and to replace them with black. if you can, just turn off this feature, and use a red eye reduction flash. if you can't turn it off, and don't have a red eye reduction flash, return your camera

Ther could be several reasons, lighting, filtering, the way your camera renders color, the editing program, which is where I will stop, because that is also you solution, fix it with your editing program, it is fairly easy and my be the only solution if it turns out to be your camera. I might have the light meters / CCD checked at a reliable camera shop.

That has never happened to me. What kind of camera do you have? And under what program are you saving your pictures under?
