The Bible is corrupted and unreliable and is mostly filled with man-made laws and corruption! "`How can you say, "We [the Jews] are wise, for we have the law of the LORD," when actually the lying pen of the scribes has handled it falsely?' (From the NIV Bible, Jeremiah 8:8)"
The Revised Standard Version makes it even clearer: "How can you say, 'We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us'? But, behold, the false pen of the scribes has made it (i.e., the bible) into a LIE. (From the RSV Bible, Jeremiah 8:8)"
In either translation, we clearly see that the Jews had so much corrupted the Bible with their man-made cultural laws, that they had turned the Bible into a lie!

At that time the wise men and the scribes may have been corrupt but it does not actually say that what those people were writing at the time is what went into the Bible itself. Jeremiah is a very specific account of when the Lord was kicking the Jews out of Isreal to Babalon because of their disobedience. It is my understanding that the only thing that went into the bible from those days were from Jeremiah himself and he was a pure man.
All that I know is that one third of the Bible is prophesy, and all of it has come true except for the tribulation. Read Matthew 24 and you will know that it is coming very soon.
Many people in the Bible times were corrupt just like many are today. It does not mean the Bible is corrupt. I am sure that if it is the book God wanted us to follow, then it came out as it is today, just how he wanted it to.
The jewish laws were confusing and hard to follow but when Jesus came He said "I am not here to abolish the laws but to fulfill them." He went on to give new commandments. He also said that no one would be saved by following the law, he is the only way to salvation .

You need to read more than just Jeremiah 8:8. The concept is that the scribes are going against the Word of God. Jeremiah is chastising them. The scribes did not corrupt the bible, they corrupted the people with their actions.
[Jer 8:4] Tell them: Thus says the LORD: When someone falls, does he not rise again? if he goes astray, does he not turn back?
[Jer 8:5] Why do these people rebel with obstinate resistance? Why do they cling to deceptive idols, refuse to turn back?
[Jer 8:6] I listen closely: they speak what is not true; No one repents of his wickedness, saying, "What have I done!" Everyone keeps on running his course, like a steed dashing into battle.
[Jer 8:7] Even the stork in the air knows it seasons; Turtledove, swallow and thrush observe their time of return, But my people do not know the ordinance of the LORD.
[Jer 8:8] How can you say, "We are wise, we have the law of the LORD"? Why, that has been changed into falsehood by the lying pen of the scribes!
[Jer 8:9] The wise are confounded, dismayed and ensnared; Since they have rejected the word of the LORD, of what avail is their wisdom?
Footnote:
[1] (8-9) Lying pen of the scribes: because the interpretations and ordinances of the scribes ran counter to the word of the Lord.

Just because there were Jews who didn't follow God's Law but who created their own laws, and this is recorded in the Bible, doesn't mean that the Bible is corrupted. Maybe a little bit of background on determining the history and integrity of Biblical manuscripts is in order. It beats trying to cite verses out of context to make a point.

That prophecy points to such versions of the Bible as the niv and other new versions, it is ironic that you would quote from it.
Read Isaiah 14:12, then read Revelation 22:16 (in NIV) then compare it to the KJV.
NIV has ommited so many meaningful words and even whole verses it is not funny. Read the KJV

thrilling question without straightforward solutions. First, each and every of the diversities of the NT are translated from one or more effective factors or codices. each and every codex has a its "strengths" and "weaknesses" and is called more effective or a lot less truthful. regularly translators will weigh the transformations between them and attempt to furnish what replaced into initially meant. extra, translators are confronted with the job of balancing an rather literal translation it really is type of unintelligible with what the straightforward meaning is relative to admired language - for more effective training seem up dynamic and literal translations. This receives more effective complicated as we commence to visual reveal unit textual criticism and different ideas used to learn historic texts as well as herald different historic references and works. even as it really is executed that is strongly reported that the Gospels were rewrites of a prior textual content. As for the OT, that is clean that most of the books latest in the useless sea scrolls ensure that little or no longer some thing has been replaced in the perfect 2000 years, notwithstanding there is a few data suggesting that the before books were rewritten round 600 BCE. Edit: The historic previous of the Quran has similarities, except prevalent rewrites and "commerce" variations" are vigorously denied via its followers.

No the bible is not corrupt, nor does it have any contradictions. It is man's interpretation of the bible that is corrupt. Mankind adjusts the bible to fit their agendas.
