If i say that American generals have asked their soldierd to kill any veitnemese they encounter it would sound absured to you wouldn't it...? but they did...every general worth his salt would boost the moral of their soldiers by saying such stuff....and so did God through His book....If he had asked Muhammed (pbuh) to say it...people would have only condemed him....but if God himself asks his people to kill any enemy (ASKED TO DO THAT DURING TIMES OF WAR) people have to accept wouldn't they....and always God says in every verse to show ristraint but if forced to kill any enemy....so how can it mean Islam is a bloody religion....self preservation is essential...but certain christians...seem blind to the verses that ask muslims to feed the poor , that ask muslims to show and accept no cast or creed...the list is endless....they only seem to see the bloody parts...why...? are they scared of Islam...or is it simply that they have been brain washed to hate Islam...?

So like people to take issues with somethings from all directions and even some that don't exist. NO Americans for most part (educated) don't fear Islam, only it the radical parts And most American Muslims understand this and have been educating others the truth

I think people do not do their own research and fear what they do not understand and latch on to anything that supports their beliefs. It is easier to hate indiscrimately than to question your beliefs and research.
I am a Christian and have read much of the Qu'ran and find it very similar to the Bible (duh! it was written after the Bible) and I think there is support for the Bible being more bloody.
Any fundamentalist expression of religion creates fear that the entire religion is the same. Also, everyone likes to practice blame shifting -- it's as old as Genesis. Somehow if we can make everyone else out to be horrible and evil we are by default better and can go on feeling superior.
Lord, protect us all from pride and apathy toward you and mankind, amen.

You miss the point, It does not matter if we are talking Islam or Christianity. There is no fanatic as dangerous as a religious fanatic, the crusades, Spanish insisting, etc.
What is wrong with Islam? As long as they have Osama Bin Laden and suicide bombers as their main Public Relations man, it will get a bad rap. As long as the moderate Islams stay silent and allow the fanatics to bastardize their religion, it will get a bad rap.

2-those who fear the truth will always hate to see it
3-people who fear change will always fight it!!!
