use a saline solution to wash his eyes out, get someone to help hold his eyes open when you are flushing them. It also sounds like the shampoo you used is too harsh, make sure you are using a dog shampoo and if it is a medicated type do not get it in or near the eyes.

Use saline solution for contacts to flush them -- water has many harsh chemicals that only makes it worse!!

If you have distilled water that will work too -- not bottled water; distilled water

If no improvement immediately after -- call a 24 hr. vet and get their advice

Don't bath your dog until you get him straight to the vet. Don't take any chances doing it yourself. Just look at it this way.....If it were you who couldn't open your eyes, you'd go to the Dr as soon as possible. Pets are no different. Please get him to the vet as soon as you can.
