I've tried all sorts of online dating services but no luck. Met quite a few guys offline, but they either turned out to be completely different from what they say in the profiles, or there was no chemistry there whatsoever. Ladies, can someone share their experiences or tips who successfully developed a relationship from meeting someone online?

No, guys are crappy. They want the perfect 100 lb girl with huge DD boobs even though they say on their profile they like average women. Guys I met online are all the same... we hang out , they say they will call then they never do. I'm a nice and somewhat attractive girl. I'm just not rail thin or anorexic.

The fun thing I did last time a guy told me he'd call then never did was this... I emailed him on myspace (where i met him) and told him he was NOT my type at all and that I thought he didn't look like his pics. He didn't! It felt so good to do that, after a week he said he'd call, and never did...

Some of the other guys I met online were so superficial and fake... I really wonder if I'll ever meet a decent man again that isn't looking for a 100 lb supermodel.

Dating like anything in life is a risk..you have to decided if you want to take that risk or not..as far as computer dating I have never tried them..but I did meet my husband on line in a chat site called excited..which is no longer around too bad it was a fun site..anyway we meet there and talked for 3 months and he talked me into letting him come to visit. We meet and it was love for both of us..we lived together for 6 months and then we got married in November..we have been married for 6 almost 7 years now and have a five year old son..we have been through a lot of ups and downs and we like millions of people keep looking for answers together..My advice is use what ever means you have to met people but always use your head and be safe met people off line in a group never alone and trust your heart listen to your inner voice you will find someone someday and be very happy..till then live live to the fullest make new friends, meet new people and enjoy life.

I can only share my experience but it wasn't with a online dating site .. I met my husband online in a MSN Chat Room of all places. We spent 2 years needless to say talking every day .. he became my best friend in the beginning.. help me get through a divorce with my current husband .. after the 2 years (he is a soldier and was stationed in Germany) he came to Florida to visit me. Immediately when I saw him in person I got butterflies (we had switch photos and did the web cam convo prior). Spent 3 glorious weeks together... the next time he came down, we got married right before he deployed and now we have been married for almost 2 years. Its been incredible - we have gone through some very hard times with deployment and death of a child - but we always got through them.

Hugs from a Loving Mom to a Brillant, as well as beautiful 8 year old Jared and Our Angel, Zachary (taken to soon but who will always remain in our heart) ~ Mel

Well, One Time I Met This Guy Named Ben, I Wasn't Going To Chat To Find A BF I Was There Just To Talk But Over Like Maybe A Week We Somehow Became BF And GF He Was So Funny! I Really Loved Him But My Mom Scared Him Away So That Makes Me Think If He Is Scared Of My Mom Then He's Not Really My Type And He Broke Up With Me Cuz Of Her! So He Must Have Not Really Loved Me. He's Such A Jerk! But He Protected Me From This Pedophile One Time, And ItMade Me Feel Protected When He Did That.
But The Funny Part Was: His Enitials Were B.S. LMFAO xD

I met my current boyfriend on Lavalife.com.. we've dated online for a month, and met in person. In January, it will be 4 years for us. We don't have the on again off again relationship either. We now live together and plan to get married in a year or two.

i guess i wasted five years on toads, then i found my handsome prince, not a dating service but just in chat, with a web cam, so i had some clues about him from his face and reactions to what i said. so he sent me an airline ticket to visit him and he offered the guest room and didnt expect anything of me, the only thing i found out was a fib was his age, he said he was 65 and he was really 73, but he doesnt look it or act it, and now ive been here a year and a half.
