No, I,m not contending with my life. As a Christian when I want to do things in a godly way then I have to contend with life;but through God's grace I'm able to overcome it.
I thank and praise God for the portion of life He has given me,and I'm contented with life because He knows what's best for me and more than every thing it's in His will.
Yes I agree, " Godliness with contentment is a great gain".

Contentment is a difficult thing to achieve for ordinary mortals like us. In the animal kingdom, it is man alone who toils hard for the fulfilment of not only the immediate needs but also the future needs. He want to hedge himself against future poverty. On the other hand, an animal rests contented while its hunger or thirst is satisfied. It does not even toil for the fulfilment of the needs of its off-springs, beyond a stage. Our anxiety about the future and attachment to our kith and kith which is an extension of one's own self prevents us from leading a contented life. Basically it is this selfishness which leads to over exploitation of nature, amassing of wealth, by hook or crook. In a way, here lies the seeds of all evils that afflicts the human society. If only the human beings are prevented from amassing any wealth for himself or for his progenies for future consumption, the world will be a better place to live.

Contended or contented? They're, like, the exact opposites. I suppose you meant contented, but you should learn to spell if you're going to ask metaphysical questions.

Well, I don't contend with my life, but I am very content with it. Don't be a stereotype. Just because you're a bigot doesn't mean you can be uneducated!

if i am, then i am extraordinary!
i am just a typical human being...
man has endless desires...
so don't expect man to be satisfied with his life...
man can have contentment but only within a very short while.. when the happiness brought about by something or somone is already consumed, the contentment is lost...

Yeah, you could say I'm content. I love Jesus. I love my family and all of my friends that stick by me. I just wish I could do more, like go to another country... I know this is sounding weird coming from a teengager, but there's just something missing...

You know sometimes the ol devil gets to me and I get frustrated at my situation....being 38 and single but Paul wrote that it is better to be single because my focus can be on God and not on the family....so most of the time yes I am content. I have my moments but thanks to the comforter (Holy Spirit) I always have someone by my side.

why do you worry about others?your question should be are we contended with our life? you should try to learn onething in life that you should never compare anything which you have with others.this may spoil your progress in the task which you have taken.godliness will inspire in entanglement and not with contentment.
