Here is a recipe:
2 eggs, hard-boiled, separated and whites discarded
150 ml/1/4 pint m ayonnaise
1 x 5 ml spoon / 1 teaspoon chopped capers
1x 5 ml / 1 teaspoon chopped gherkins
1x 5 ml spoon / 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
1 x 5 ml spoon / 1 teaspoon chopped fresh chives
1 x 5 ml spoon / 1 teaspoon lemon juice.
Rub the egg yolks through a sieve ( strainer ) into a mixingbowl.
Add the remaining ingredients and mix well
Sedrve chilled.
Makes about 150 ml b/ 1/4 pint

Follow this exactly.
1: Leave home.
2: Go to supermarket.
3:Enter supermarket and walk down aisles.
4: Upon spotting a bottle/container of tartar sauce, grab it.
5: Take to cash register and pay for item.
6: Return home.
And there you have it tartar sauce.

1 cup mayonnaise (use Hellman's for this)
1/4 cup sweet pickle relish (Bick's relish is best)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (or to taste)
Mix all three ingredients together adjusting the relish and garlic powder amounts to taste.
Cover and chill for a minumum of 2 hours before serving.
Delicious!

I do it almost the same as bzkally, just don't use capers, use dried onions in its place, very pleasant tartar sauce
