What exactly is in the platform of the Black Panther party? I am confused..

anarchy was their platform when i met them in '67 equal rights was minor to them. mostly they wanted to defeat the white man and take the rest. they were a little intense.

Wow, Kathy, you actually met people in the Black Panther Party? I've just learned about them through TV documentaries and books.

If you ask the aging former leaders of the Party today, they're likely to refer you to their 10-point program. They would probably be quick to say that anarchy was never one of their objectives (at least not officially, and not at the level of the top leadership). "The Weathermen," in contrast, were self-professed anarchists, I believe.

Point ten, for example, was "We want land, bread, housing, education, clothing, justice and peace."

You said "is," not "was," though, which makes me wonder if you're talking about a current political organization, not the famous one founded in Oakland in the 1960s by Huey Newton and Bobby Seale. Any group calling itself the Black Panther party today is unsanctioned by the original group.
