That's horrible. Without seeming irrespectful of the dead, he may have been asking for trouble by claiming he could perform divine miracles. That's blasphemous and offensive to many people, especially if they use "magic tricks" to do it.
Peace

The article falsely calls the man a priest.
Priests are already getting a bad "rep" due to the earlier sex scandals.
This guy was some sort of a Protestant minister, not a priest.
There is a difference between the two.
Anyway, St. Peter didn't do much better. If Jesus hadn't been there to save him, who knows what would have happened.
As Dirty Harry would say, "A man's got to know his limitations!"

hmmm that was not very wise of him some people become so obsessed with things and people that they sometimes forget who they are until its too late. rebember when we were children we use use to watch superman,The flash and all those really cool cartoon characters we would sometimes tie a towel or something to out necks and pretend to fly or try running rerally fast to see if we can be as fast as the flash.i think that is what happened to him he proberly thought that he could have dont that too but too bad no one warned him about it. any how live and learn.

Not an idiot, but definetly someone who got to thinking wayyyy too much of themselves and believing that they were far more than they actually were. Its like these televangelists who think that they can't get sick or die . Well, HELLO!! They are people too and prone to the same works of the flesh as the rest of us.
It sickens me when I see them on the Tv acting all high and mighty like they don't poop like the rest of us and that they have perfect lives and Oh, would NEVER sin !! I personally know better because I know that Not even the annointed ones of Christ's followers were immune to sin or sickness.
But this guy, this guy takes the cake. I guess he took the cake walk too , huh? I guess one of his lacky's forgot to put the under water rocks where he was supposed to, huh?

That is so incredibly depressing...I'm think I'm going to go weep for the rest of the night. Jesus and Paul, they were brilliant, and yet why do these ill-educated followers have to take things so literally? It's like some kid copying a stunt he saw on Jackass.

The bible teaches us that theres is "none righteous no not one and all have fallen short of the glory of God". This man failed in his pride, because only Jesus could walk on water, because He is God.
