I don't really know what to believe regarding Lilith. As far as the Bible goes, she wasn't accounted for, but there have been several ancient text which were are a very interesting read.
I am also curious about what others know of her.
Good topic for a question though.

These are not and have never been literal stories. All ancient Jewish stories are of a metaphoric nature. Read about them and you will know. Even Jesus did everything in a symbolic nature because of course he was a Jew. Both the stories of Adam and Eve, and of Lillith are just ancient Jewish symbolic stories about creation. Ask someone who has a masters degree in Hebrew. That is the way to understand these stories. You are better off investigating this through people who have studied the language and tradition of the ancient Jewish people, rather than a present day Jew. No offense or anything, but the Jews did lose basically total connection with there ancient traditional past, that is a well documented fact. Ancient Judaism is much different than the modern one, if you study the most respected ancient Rabbi's and mystics!

I am a christian and never took these stories literally from the concept that there was a guy named Adam and a woman named Eve. But if you think about it even from a quasi scientic point there would still have to be a first entity called man and a first entity called woman by even todays standard. It doesnt ever say in the bible that Adam and Eve were the only entities called Human they were just the first. and if you read the bible there is evidence that others existed at the same time. So it could be acurate in its potrayal while still being largely a story of how life began. If you look at the first couple chapters of genesis you have a story of the order in how God created everything. then he created Human a man then a woman. They were given Eden (a paradise) to live in, but they sinned against God and were cast out. Notice that later on after they were cast out and around the time of the story of Noah. the bible gives a linage of the offspring of Adam. But what it doesnt say is that all the people that were around at Noah's time were decendents of Adam. I think this is intentional to show that others soon existed after Adam and Eve,.. and after all they are just generic names attached to name the first of our kind.

First of all, where do find any record of Lillith being in the Bible. Adam's first wife, as any intelligent Bible believing person will tell you, was Eve.

I don't because the Bible says that Eve was the first woman and the only created without sexual intercourse. Lillith is never mentioned in the Bible to my knowledge and I have not heard the whole story of Lilith but I think that she was just made up to hurt the Bible's reputation.

Lillith exists only in Jewish folklore and on the TV shows "Cheers" and "Frazier".
There only one mention of Lillith in the Book of Isaiah, and it's only included in some of the oldest translations. The newer ones leave "her" out.
The line includes language something like, "and then will Lillith alight."
That's all. No prior or subsequent mention.
Lillith is more like a vampire, succubus, or other type of "creature of the night".
If she did exist, it's no wonder the matchup didn't work.

I do. It is written in the Torah in Genises . Adam was made first and became lonely. and asked God for a mate .
So God made a Female from the Earth the same way Adam was made. And Adam caled her LILITH. However they were to much alike and poor Adams ego was brusied by er constant questioning of why she had to do things the way Adam told her to.
Adam finally asked God about it and if he could have a more tracktable mate.
God removed LILITH fromthe Garden and she foud a tribe outside of EDEN and mated with them.
Then God made Adam fall asleep and removed a rib and created a smaller framed female that was obedint to ADAMS wishes . and HE calle her EVE.

I do not believe she was Adam's first wife, but the first woman God made as his companion and mate. I know the story of Adam and Lilith.
Otherwise God would condone divorce.
