ILLEGALS HAVE RIGHTS AND THEY ARE HERE TO STAY. ITS JUST THE FACTS. THERE IS NOTHING ANYONE HERE CAN DO ABOUT IT. THERE ARE THOSE THAT WANT A WALL, WANT TO SHOOT THEM, WANT THEM PUT IN PRISON. STILL WITH ALL THAT ON THE GROUND, THEY WILL COME AND STAY. AGAIN, THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT... THIS GOVERNMENT CANNOT AFFORD TO CUT OFF CHEAP LABOR TO KEEP OVERWEIGHT AMERICANS FROM GOING BROKE AT THE FOOD BARS.

The problem is a logistical and financial nightmare.
My opinion is the following:
We establish a guest worker program specific to illegal Mexican aliens as an amendment to NAFTA (the rest can pound sand).
We give these people 90 days to obtain a Guest Worker ID that is good for 5 years and renewable after 5 years if the Guest Worker has been a good guy/gal. This way they can stop stealing our SS numbers and benefits.
The Mexican Government will help fund the program through NAFTA tariffs which we will put on Mexican goods coming into this country.
These guest workers will pay taxes, but not pay into or receive Social Security - instead the amount normally paid to FICA will go directly into their Guest Worker Medicare Plan, which allows them basic medical insurance (nothing fancy).
If these guest workers choose to leave and go back to Mexico, they will not be allowed back into the country.
Next we build the wall along the border and close the door to letting all their cousins, brothers, sisters, etc. from coming to join them.
And now for the painful stuff. No more Spanish on anything. We didn't do this for the 50 million Germans who came into this country. Nope, they had to learn English to make it and become part of our society.
When we put Spanish everywhere, we basically make it easy for these folks to remain Mexicans and not to become Americans. When you join the Marines, they break you down and make you a Marine. They don't allow you to remain who you were before you "chose" to become a Marine. If you choose to become an American...than become one and that starts with surrendering your previous language and learning English.
And really, these changes are good for them as well, because Mexican-Americans should never feel like second class citizens.

That's one of the biggest questions our country is trying to answer right now. As long as there are people involved, there will be emotionally-based answers, unfortunately.
Here's a question to answer your question: If we deport all the illegal immigrants from this country, are YOU willing to step-up and work at one of the jobs - 72 hours a week - that each one of them fill? Important jobs, mind you, that support the backbone of this country. Keep in mind, they do this for wages no stable "American" would accept.

There must be some part of illegal that people don't understand. I'm all for immigration done legally and through proper chanels. All I ask is please learn the language. Wouldn't it be nice if we all spoke American English here in America?

Well if I broke the law(as an american citizen) wouldn't I be prosecuted and punished....if so then they should do the same to anyone else that comes here and breaks the law, especially since they break the law just by coming here

You're right. It's so simple, but not so easy. There are over 11 million of them. We don't have the manpower to round them up, we have business owners who like the cheap labor and are willing to exploit the illegals, we don't know precisely who they are or where they are -- see the problem? What I think we need to do is make it advantageous for them to register with the government. For example have a certain number of citizenship spots open and to be selected you have to register. The ones that are not selected are deported but perhaps with a monetary stipend to help them get started again in their own country.

I think each case deserves its own merit as we humans needs to be compassionate to other humans in sufferring. Illegal immigrants in true personal danger deserve to get special consideration while others should be deported immediately.
