Try controlled breathing...
This breathing exercise is recommended to bring on drowsiness:
Lie on your back or side, eyes closed, and begin with a few very deep inhalations, filling your lungs as much as possible.
Exhale fully, drawing in your abdomen to expel as much air as possible.
Repeat this three times, and at the end of the third exhalation hold your breath as long as you can.
Repeat this procedure two or three times, or until you feel drowsy.
Another suggested breathing exercise for insomnia:
Exhale completely through your mouth.
Inhale through your nose to a count of four.
Hold your breath for a count of seven.
Exhale through your mouth for a count of eight.
Repeat the cycle three times.
Good luck...oh...masturbation only works for men. We are genetically programmed to fall asleep after orgasm in order to give the woman a rest and increase the likelihood of fertilisation....

melatonin really works, even if you can't sleep for 8 hours. You get more quality sleep if you hav eless time. If you can go to the health store calms forte works even better, especailly when you have nerves before a school test.

Clearing my mind always helps me. Whenever I have trouble sleeping, I pick a word, and keep repeating it over and over again in my head. It blocks out all other thoughts and when I do this, I fall asleep pretty quick.
Hope it helps :)

Drink some warm milk and listen to the BBC. Maybe read a technical manual.

Listen to soft country music or classical. Or perhaps, read a book - nothing too exciting or murder mystery, though.
