Sure. It's called Augmentin. It's a mixture of both amoxicllin and clavulanate (co-amoxiclav). Co-amoxiclav is the British name for clavulanate. In the US we usually use the name clavulante. Basically it is the same thing as Augmentin.

Doctors prescibe this together all the time. Drug manufactures make an oral suspension of it and oral tablets.

I have personally taken this medication and it works great! It works a lot better than amoxicillin alone.

According to my drug book it shouldn't cause any drug-drug interaction. Sometimes doctors prescribe you one medication and forget that they have prescribed it so i think you should talk to him/her. Becaue it makes no sense to have you on two of the same antibiotics.

amoxiclov has amoxillin in it so there shouldnt be a reason to
