My dentist numbed one area with a swab. Then he used a needle. That was the worst of it. What got me through, I keep think how much worst it would have been hundred of years ago with out Novocaine!

I had only two wisdom teeth - maybe that's the people they call half wit.
They put you out and its an oral surgeon.
They gave me the tylenol three's.....but suggest you get the percodan...it's number one.
They're so good rolling stones even wrote a song about them

You can eat soups and soft stuff but stay away from too hot or too cold.
Wash mouth with salt water to remove any local pain.
Change cotton in sockets regularly and no smoking...well maybe a little.

I had mine extracted by an oral surgeon when they were impacted. The dentist gave me 2 weeks supply of antibiotics and pain killers. I was given a menu of what to eat, instructions on how to keep the extraction locations clean, and a water syringe. I was limited to soft foods like cream of wheat, oatmeal, jello, etc. and could not drink through a straw. After a week I was back to eating mostly solid foods.

I had all 4 pulled at age 24. I had a general anesthetic before, pain killers afterwards (don't know name) and a high strength anti-biotic. I didn't react to well to the general and was lethargic and nauseous for a over a week after. Not pleasant!

Lorcet 2 and Mepergan both are pain medications. I was given enough for about a week and and was told to take them every 4 -6 hours as needed for pain.

Ate soups and soft foods until I had no pain.

Depends on the pain and type of extractions. Simple extrcations only took tylenol to fix the pain for a couple days. A more extensive tooth had a vicadin for pain.

Eat soft foods. Cottage cheese, applesauce..etc for a couple days.

I had all 4 pulled on the same day and they gave me Vicodin and penicillan. But that also could have been because they had not surfaced and they had to dig under my gums to extract them. I could not eat for a few weeks time so mostly I drank juice through a straw.

I got 14 Vicodin. Only time it hurt was the first two days after but just when i first woke up. It's no biggie you just cant drink alcohol for 24 hours or you might get dry socket. Its not a big a deal as some people make it.

Vicodin for about a week, which was necessary because I had all 4 pulled at once. I had them taken out by an oral surgeon who put me under to take them out. I had an IV anesthetic.
