Yoga is a Hindu concept though it deals with the exercising of the body. Along with the body, yoga practitioners are advised to recite mantras to empty the mind of all thoughts. This is a dangerous concept because once the mind is empty, evil forces jump at the opportunity to occupy the vacancy. Under no circumstances can the mind be emptied. Instead, the Bible says be filled with the Spirit, speaking to yourselves in Psalms and Hymns and Spiritual songs. Eph 5:18-19 There is no need to take to yoga for spiritual upliftment. Meditate on the Word of God according to Joshua 1:8 and all your problems will be solved. Trust the Word of God.

Has anyone of you read the Autobiography of a Yogi? It was written by a yogi whom, with his gurus, was in communion with Chirst. It wasn't a book about either religion being more right than the other. It was a book talking about the mircles of prayer, the mircles of Christ and all the great gurus.
Hinduism, the journey of self realization, is not separate from Christianity. Christianity is accepted as one of the branches of Hinduism.
The yoga that the western world knows of is not the yoga that is practised in India to reach the state of enlightenment. The yoga that we practise in gyms and in studios merely tires the body and allows the mind to think. It allows us to come into a state of meditation and meditiation is prayer... and God is universal and God loves us all.
In conclusion, if anything allows us to pray or stay positive for a few minutes then it isn't a deception - it is a gift.

Yoga is deeply associated with Hindu religion. Sooner or later one who is into it will realize this. Look at all the items for sale at the yoga related stores. Almost all postures are in worship of their gods. Eventually one will be introduced to chanting of "mantras" and "slokas", which is nothing but singing praises to their idols. Americans who look for mystic spiritual experiences and new things are being fooled by these philosophies and the gurus are becoming rich. When there are other more profitable ways to exercise and natural ways to relax why give in to some guru.

Yoga and meditation. prayer and exercise are basically the same things. for the same reasons . to exercise the body and mind and bring them into closer alignment.
The only main difference is that the eastern mind is set up to try and become one with the quite everlasting now. But the western mind needs to be feeling like its doing something . Hence vision quest and astral travel and such.

Another reason why you should not ask don. Yoga has been popular for almost century in this Christian country. It is done as a form of passive exercise and not as worship to Hindu gods.

What this has to do with the Beatles, only god, woops, I mean don knows.

i does not necesarily call them deceptions, i don't think of any non secular leaders rather in simple terms bypass out of their thank you to mislead human beings. it fairly is in simple terms that they have got been around through fact civilisation began and subsequently are plenty component to our societies that they are just about impossible to avert. Religions look to wish everybody to connect them, all of them clain to hold the reality it is an staggering human choose, so it fairly is totally confusing for some human beings not get get swept alongside interior the tide of a few of those religions being thrust at them.

There is nothing wrong with moving your body in a particular way so long as you still believe what you believe. If tomorrow you were to walk backwards, you would still be you despite walking backwards. And if after that you learned a religious group uses backwards walking as a devotion to satan, you could still walk backwards and still be you. Gestures like yoga require context to have religious meaning. If you are doing them as an exercise off of a video it obviously loses its religious context.

Yoga is not a religion, it's a form of exercise. By doing yoga you are not commiting yourself to Hinduism, Buddhism, Judism, Catholicism, or any other 'ism' that you do not want to be commited to. It's just a fun, relaxing way to stay healthy.
