I'm going to be designing a hand coffee grinder for a class (college). Anyone who takes part in festive and passionate coffee drinking should tell me what main things you would look for in a grinder. Thanks! (this could be mechanical or aesthetic)

I would like a coffee grinder that could grind according to the type of coffee making equipment I would use. The size of the coffee grinds differ when using paper filter, syphon or expresso.

having it be able to grind the beans different sizes. (coarseness)

having it be somewhat compact if possible. a dial on the side thats easy to use that shows different grades of coarse ness for what type of machine you have. such as paper filer, metal filters, con filers, espresso pump. the differences usually have numbers, for example a paper filter would be set on # 6 a metal filter would be set on 9, ect
hope this helps!

if you know someone at starbucks maybe you can get coffee from them, people who work at starbuks get a free pound of coffee every week.

The ability to change the fine of the grind. Removal of all the grounds afterwards so that the stale grinds don't collect in corners. Built in measurements for a cup/pot of coffee. speed.

well, it has to be mid sized, not too bulky, not tiny. transparent is usually good, but could do with translucent. Also it has to be safe ... does not electrocute or grind one's fingers. Lastly easy to maintain. Wireless should be good.
