what exactly are risens/boils and what can i do to treat them?

i have a risen on my side and i'm just wondering what it exactly is, i've looked all over the internet and even went on webmd and they didn't even have anything to answer my question..i'm desperate ya'll...plz help me..

These websites should help answer your ?'s. I asked a dermatologist about one I had and she said to do the warm compress thing like they say on the womenshealth link. GOOD LUCK.
