I know it deals with the end times. I just want to be able to use it as proof that we're in the last days.

I'm not sure about it meaning a cold war.I believe its talking about how people will be doing normal things .As where it says they will be marrying as like in Noah,s day.Doing everyday things ignoring God as usual.A good scripture to give for evidence of the end times is about the increase of disasters on the earth as equivalent to a woman's birth pains before giving birth,

It could be just that rumors of wars. Like wars that were threatened to happen but never did due to democratic peace talks and such. etc. It's allready happened in our history, is happening and will happen. Look at the almost near war with Israel and the Hezbulah. That to me was a conflict yes but it never did become an all out war. It will some day. Armagedon is comming. But the good news is we'll allready be in Heaven when that happens. I hope I get to come back and watch the devil get his just deserts. Satan is gonna pay with his life, his demons are too and so is that so called anti christ. Your days are numbered devil so back off in Jesus name. GRRR. God wins and so do we.

Orange terror alerts. Someone is always manipulating and scaring people with the threat from "those people" in order to get power and money. Keeping everyone stirred up and frightened makes people stop thinking and start obeying anyone that offers them even a false promise of security. Matthew 26 was of course written after Jerusalem fell, so the author writes that prophecy back into Jesus' mouth along with really vague information about his return since 50 or more years had past and still no Jesus. (I believe Matthew 26 refutes pre-tribbers.) It's a common belief that the anti-Christ comes to power by promising the people safety in uncertain times, but of course all authoritarians come into power in exactly that way. Hitler scared the Germans into the Enabling Act by staging phoney communist and Jewish terror acts. Cheney and his junior assistant Bush scared us into the USA Patriot Act over the deaths of fewer people than get killed in workplace accidents because Bush won't enforce OSHA. Fear mongering turns off the brain and opens the door to power grabs. Iran's nut case in chief came to power by scaring the Iranians that George Bush was coming. Kim Il Sung and now Kim Jong Il have maintained control of a starving and backward North Korean with Rumors of Wars. Jesus of course said not be afraid of that crap, but we all know how well people listened to Jesus. His following is rife with people thinking it's the end of the world every day and it's been that way since he died. Of course most of them read Paul a lot more than they read the gospels.

The end times. Still some more prophecies to come. Once the Jewish people build their temple and the man of peace appears that's when you better get ready for the war of all wars. Which willl take place and the anti-Christ will make himself known as God. He will be able to preform miracles and many will worship him. This will be the end times.

Rumors of wars means just what it says. There will never be peace on this earth. So even in times that we don't have a war, there will still be talk of one.
As long as man is in the higher seats without God on their side, there will always be someone with their finger on the red button.

I think a rumor of war is just that. You know how the news, before a war actually breaks out, talks about how two sides are simmering and it may come to war? Like that.

A good example would be the current rumors that we're planning a premptive strike on N. Korea or Iran, possibly using nuclear weapons.
