yes it very definitely well.
Best way to take film is to either tell TSA you have film, and they well hand search you bag.
Or go to any camera store and buy the bags make for taking film on trips. The cost very little.
Now days all film undeveloped well get a least of fog on it. Basically ruins the film.
If and when you can afford to, buy a digital camera. No danger of film being ruined. And in long run much cheaper to use.

X-rays can expose undeveloped film -- it's electromagnetic radiation, just like visible light, but because of tt's high energy, it can penetrate things further and can potentially cause streaks or "ghosts" on unexposed (or exposed) film. The higher the ASA (faster speed) the film is, the more likely an airport X-ray will affect it. You're probably pretty safe with 100 or 200 ASA film for regular vacation photos or whatever, but some airports overseas use higher energy X-ray equipment than in the US and might still affect the final image quality. There are a few things you can do: 1) Carry them in your hand and ask to have them visually inspected (just put them in the little tray with your keys and whatnot) 2) Get a lead film safe, just a little lunch-sack size bag made of lead that will shield your film from the radiation (I think most of them come with a label that fluoresces under X-ray radiation so the screeners will see that it's a film safe) 3) Buy yourself a digital camera -- no film to worry about, and the added benefit of not having to go develop three rolls of film to discover that you only took two shots worth keeping.

Depends on the speed of the film. If the ASA/ISO is 800 or more, it may be effected by x-rays. If your concerned or not sure, pull your film out and ask for a visual inspection.

no x-rays will not ruin film.. film is a chemical tape that changes due to light exposure. Magnetic fields for long periods will damage a film. Sunlight and extreme temperatures.

I believe it can, but there are film pouches you can get. Try travelsmith.com (I think that's the right address) that was where we got our several years ago before we went digital.
