It is just as rude as having a verbal conversation on your cell phone during a meal. Which is, of course, very rude. It's not just you.

Yes i think it is cause if i was playing or doing stuff with my family i wouldn't want anybody to bother me when i'm doing that cause girl family means a lot to me and it should to anybody.
