Having a discussion at work about eating robins(bird). Which I can say has a great taste.when BBQ'd. Some people at work think its wrong to eat such an animal but cannot explain why. Help

As a kid , we would hunt robins with pellet or bb guns. Kill a hundred or so , clean em and then cook em up that evening. Made for a great time as a kid. Now we just blast them with shotguns. A lot faster and still is best tasting bird I ever eat !!!

No harm in eating one, I guess. If it tastes great, all the better. I suppose the small of amount of meat and all the prep work makes it taste all the sweeter.

It sure doesn't have the hormones or processing of factory meat so it might even be healthier for you.

And ethically? How could it be wrong to hunt for your own meat? It's not endangered, introducing wild diseases to the human species or anyone's pet. I do believe there are those who would rather not hear about it though so don't press it with them.

Well.. the closest I come to is a Roberta, but her nick name was Robin, so does that still count? And as long as it's consensual and of legal age, I don't see a problem with it.

there are already so many choices of meat, why eat robin? i also can't bring myself to eat crocodile, or rabbit, or dog's meat. yucks!
