Just say something like, I don't want to seem creepy or anything but I couldn't help but notice that when you work out like that your azz shows a little and I was wondering if that was for my benefit?
P.S. Have bail money ready in case it goes south on you.

Just give it the fresh, honest approach. Go on up and say "hi" and ask, "Would it be creepy for you if I asked for your number? I'd like to give you a call, but I don't want to seem like the gym equivalent of a lounge lizard." (Give huge, genuine smile and chuckle.) You'll know by her reaction if it was ok. Most women don't really want to engage in a big conversation with an attractive guy at the gym while they're feeling all sweaty and gross, so the best you can hope for is to snag the number and then back off to go finish your work out so you don't have to exchange whiffs of body odor.

You can make a comment about the book she's reading (is that any good? I've heard of that author) ask her what she's listening to on the ipod, ask if she knows when the kickboxing class is or if she's taken it. If she's working out on a weight machine or swimming in a lane and all the lanes are full, ask if you can work in with her. Then have a conversation, like "I can't believe it's getting so crowded in here these days! Blah blah blah." Then you can feel out if she's single and interested, etc. I have had guys talk to me in the gym and found it to be friendly, not creepy, though admittedly I didn't date any of 'em since I'm already married. (and these girls may be, too, since wedding rings can get slimy and whatnot while working out). Good luck! Nothing ventured, nothing gained, and all that!

Well I would say use your common sense to not say anything creepy, and then just try asking one of them on a date. I realize this probably doesn't help much, but just go for it. Life's too short to not do something like this just because you're scared. The worst that could happen is they say no and maybe think you're a creep, and that's really about where you started anyway so just go for it.

be careful. I'm a married woman and I take off my rings at the gym because my hands swell. I have been approached once and it was an uncomfortable situation for both of us. start a conversation about working out first. maybe ask her something about the gym itself (have you ever tried the kickboxing class?) something like that. completly unoffensive and could open up more conversation.

Ask the girl "Hey, what are you doing out of the kitchen?" Then just laugh it off like you were joking. Use that as a conversation starter. Then later one use the line "So what are you making us for dinner?" If she smiles, cool it worked, if she doesn't just act like you were joking. Use sexist lines as a reason to talk to her. It works on some girls. If it doesn't stop it and then just be yourself.

Just be calm, make some small talk first, I don't know any gym-related things to say, and then maybe ask her if she wants to catch a small bite after her workout?

Just catch her eye and say "Hi" in passing. Next time you see her, "Hi again! How are you doing?"
Little by little she'll be recognizing you, and saying hi, then introduce yourself. Don't come on like the pick up artist, and you won't seem creepy.
