Texas. It has everything a person could want. From bustling metropolises to rural country side. Beaches and mountains, to plains and dessert. And the nicest people on the planet!

There are two places I really liked the best. On the east coast, Rhode Island is a place where the people are vibrant and really alive. They are eager to make friends with people from other places. On the west coast, Seattle is another place full of people who are really alive and willing to make friends. Both places have unique scenery to their areas. The Pacific Northwest is extremely green, with plants and trees that don't grow in other parts of the country. Rhode Island, being a New England state, has all of the bright oranges and reds of hibernating trees starting in the late autumn. You asked for one, but I had two equally wonderful places to mention. If I had to choose one over the other, I could not.

no such thing. there may be a best place FOR YOU, but it doesnt mean that its that way for everyone. i live in New England, and i like it here a lot. the cost of living is ok where i am, the taxes arent too bad for the most part, theres good schools and colleges, good hospitals, etc. the thing that bugs most ppl here is the snow, which we get a lot of, but overall, we dont have to deal with hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, mudslides, monsoons, etc. some snow doesnt seem so bad by comparison.

The best place would be in the Appalachian Mountains. Low crime rate, good, small schools, four season climate, very humble people, honest hard working people, trustworthy neighbors, good jobs, good roads, low taxes, safe from terrorist attacks!

I would say anywhere except Denver, CO. A good place would be Seattle b/c they have good schools, trees, and the beach. What more do you need!
