Temporary solution: Oral Jel or Anbusol
Permanent Solution: Dentist will refer you to an Oral Surgeon, don't let the dentist perform this. If you go to an Oral Surgeon they are total experts and minimize any risidual pain. After they remove you don't eat solid foods for a few days, pack the outside of your mouth with revolving bags of frozen peas, alternate in and out of freezer, this reduces swelling. Also don't use a straw to drink, it puts pressure on the muscles and causes more bruising. Remove them, if not, they'll cause your other teeth to shift in addition to the ongoing pain.
Good Luck!

Any pain suggests that something is wrong. Go to your dentist and find out what's wrong. It could be a few different things. Most dentitsts pull wisdom teeth out, because they often cause problems when you get older. You can function just fine without them. I'm sure there are many who can tell you their own "war" stories of visits to the dentist, but you have to do what's good for your own dental health. Using Ambesol and other such tooth medications are only temporary, and are not suggested for long-time use. Using Ibuprophen is a good idea for pain. But if it's been painful for a few days, it's best to get it checked out, before it could possibly become infected. Do not take aspirin, as this thins the blood, and if you do end up getting your tooth pulled, will make it harder for your blood to clot at the extraction site (this is what my dentist told me). Everyone who's ever had a toothache is well aware of the pain you're dealing with, so we sympathize with you. <*)))><

Go to your pharmacy, ask for "Hurricane Gel", it comes in liquid and spray form. It cost about $15 but you'll get ALOT of uses from one bottle. It's safe and IT WORKS FOR SEVERAL HOURS unlike other products. Hospitals use it to numb the throats of patients during test needing tubes down it. I use it, my husband uses it and we swear by it for our teething son. If it can stop an infant from crying, it should do the same for you! Then make an appt. to see your dentist to make sure they're not messing up the rest of your teeth, which can happen as they push their way in. good luck~

When my wisdom teeth came in I used ambusol, not sure if that's spelled right. It doesn't effect anything but your mouth.

Have them removed. It doesn't cost all that much and while it will hurt a few days after, it will get better!
