I am currently running xp 2001. I bought this pc from a marine and have no discs for restore or os disc. is there any way to get this file from a download or ?. I appreciate any help offered,I am a newbie to this stuff...

he just plugged purple code to KEYBOArd thingy
look around near you who has more IQ thn you do

You can go to "control panel-system" delete the keyboard it should reload when you restart. If you don't want to do this, as in my Compaq, I went to HP.com, they bought Compaq, and ordered a restore disk.
