It's quite possible for a long diastance realtionship to work!!! But you should really stay in touch: e-mails, Skype, messages. The best way to know somebody is through communicating with them. And usually we are much more open and honest when we share something in writing. So, good luck in your relationship! The only thing you should have in mind, is that at some point you two should meet and spend some time together - just to make sure you are made for each other! ;)

I have been emailing this guy in Florida for some years now and he emails me. He's only called me twice and never has asked me to chat with him on messenger. He never sends me texts either, however he has my cell phone #. I occasionally send him some though, but he seldom responds.
Now the funny thing about all this, is now he tells me that he's selling his property and will be here in Australia by the end of the year, but he makes no effort to call me by-way of phone!
Recently, I have been un-well and he doesn't even read my emails properly so he doesn't actually even know what is wrong with me, although I have explained my illness to him.
I guess, I was a little peeved because he never sends me 2 emails in one day, but today he did and said that he was sorry about Steve Irwin's death? I don't follow this man at all.
Shouldn't he send me 2 emails a day or at least call if he is aware that I'm unwell?
I don't get it.

if you are ready for long haul commitment, the adjustment is totally different from someone beside you personally. as long as you get an honest, patient and understanding someone, that will make it. then when you are ready for the serious part, both should discuss where do they want to settle down. i've met my husband through correspondence, that was some moons ago. its not easy in the beginning, but it takes a lot of growing up to do. required plenty of serious thinking and determination to make it work. trust me, if you are not cut out to major changes, better give up while its in the bud. meaning you are not hooked up yet, it will be easy to forget and move on. but if you are into deep relationship already, take your chance. it depends on your might and maybe worth risking your fantasy.
but through it all, i feel so lucky, imagine, out of couple of hundred girls, i got the man of my dream? good luck on your conquest....

Long distance relationships are awful-- but if you are really into the person and you love them it will for sure work out.

It would take full honesty and your commitment to make the relationship work. as the saying goes...absence makes the heart grow fonder. It takes two to tango in order to achieve and to accomplish your long distance relationship. you make your own destiny.
