Now is the perfect time for an ultrasound. I had one at 19 weeks, and it showed that I was having a boy, clear as day. Also, it gave the Dr. an opportunity to check the development and make sure everything was okay, and, bonus, you get to see you baby moving on the screen, and they'll print you off some pictures.

As for figuring the gender based on your appearance...well, you've got a 50/50 chance of getting it right!

u can't tell this early unless u have the ammo test which Dr's do not do just based on u wanting to know the gender wait a few more weeks then they can tell u , by the way the ammo test is when they stick a needle in Ur body and can lead to abortion although it is not as likely to be aborted w the tech they have these days but it does happen so u need to decide if it's worth the risk

I've heard of people doing DNA tests to see what the gender of their baby is. There are some websites out there that claim to be able to do this accurately. I have not had any experience with this personally, but it seems cheaper than an ultrasound.

in maximum situations gender could be desperate at 18 weeks. while you're fuller figured then gender could be a touch hardier to foretell yet a petite woman might have greater clever success at 18 weeks or perhaps formerly. Congratulations and that i'm hoping this answer facilitates slightly.

Ultrasound is really the best way of determining the sex and even they can be inaccurate. Unless your baby is like my son...he wasn't shy about showing what sex he was...in all 4 ultrasounds!

I did the pendulum thing that was mentioned, It did turn out right and I did it throughout my pregnancy just for fun. Try it and see then wait until you can really get your ultrasound to find out if it was right.

you wont be able to get an ultra sound to tell you what the baby is until you are at least 5 months along....and even then sometimes they arent that clear(most of the time what the dr says is what it is tho). good luck!!!

Only thing that'll tell you that is either an ultrasound or an amniosentesis test.
