I was going out with someone on a casual basis. We talked about it and decided to just see how it went because neither of us wanted to get into a big relationship (him- just come out of a long term relationship, me- just left uni, want to concentrate on work)
However, after we had the talk, he started to act like an a$$hole. He started to ignore me, started punching me on the arm in an "affectionate" way and eventually, when we were out in a club, started dancing with a super skanky girl and told me to "go upstairs and see whats happening". When I got back, he'd gone off somewhere. To be fair, he did phone me later to find out where I'd gone, but still...
After that I told him that if he was going to treat me like I wasnt there, then I didnt want to see him. He said that he wasnt ready for a big relationship but neither was I!!
I feel really angry with him, but I still like him. I would like to see him on a really casual basis, but I dont want to be treated like crap. Advice??

At the time, we were staying in a hostel together. I was looking for a place (on my own). I moved out yesterday, then phoned him to ask why he was being a prick. He denied that he'd done anything wrong and that he was just trying to "keep it casual". As I said before, casual is fine, but surely its not too much to expect to be treated with a bit of respect??

To have a casual relationship is not an excuse to mistreat someone and behave badly. All people whether male or female have their own dignity and pride and in my opinion should be treated well whether the relationship is casual or deep.

He is just using you to take a revenge on all woman for his broken previous relationship and I think you should steer clear from him and look for some one else who will treat you well

dump him now, the longer your in it the harder it will be to get out.
coming out of a long relationship is also no excuse for acting like an idiot, this guy sounds like he needs to grow up...he put you on the back burner for 'a super skanky girl' what does that tell you?

Ignore him and see how he likes it - if he reacts tell him how you feel. If he doesn't, move on. He sounds a bit mixed up.

Don't bother. The guy sounds like a munchkin. Find someone who is nice to you. This one sounds as though he just wants sex.
