I have tried using insoles but they don't work. Are there any alternatives that I am able to do in the comfort of my home?

Cycling (either in or outdoors) is one of the best and least impact-stress sources for aerobic exercise. It doesn't pound your feet, knees or hips.

I found some time ago that indoor cycling wasn't for me - too quickly worked up a big sweat (w/o natural breeze), and it was just too darn boring.

But I bought a nice road bike and love the change of scenery, speed, and new places I can explore.

I highly recommend cycling as a first class way to lose weight, much more interesting than running.

SURE! You can do everything at home! but I would sugest a little help like a sauna 3x a week to help you lose the weight faster. and some good shoes because unfortunalty every exercise that is cardio is moving that how you get results!!
whether it be running or steps or all the other stuff

good luck

Biking is the best, because it will not cause a pain to your heels. But you must choose a bike that should fit you. Fits, like your seat should be level to support your full body weight and allow you to move around on the seat when necessary. Too much upward tilt can result in pressure points. Too much downward tilt can make you slide forward while riding. ^^

You may want to try walking instead of running. A quick walking speed provides great cardio benefits without the stress on the body that running can cause. Be sure to use your arm when moving this will help to increase your heart rate.

Realistically, eliptical machines and treadmills only work the legs. Try a rowing machine for a full-body, low-impact cardio workout.

Walk, bike, or use an elliptical machine. Try some dvds like Tae Bo or boxing. There are hundreds of excellent workout dvds to suit any interest.

walking briskly is good for everyone, jumping rope is incredible cardio if you are fairly fit already. running is bad for a heavier person, knees, back, feet etc. getting an elliptical machine is a more expensive option, but a good cardiovascular workout with low impact.

Dude, have some fun with it.

Use Carmen Electra's Striptease Video. You can do the moves and get exercise and check out a hot babe at the same time!
