I did not say we cannot hire them as MIGRANT workers on a seasonal basis. They just can't LIVE HERE and abuse our system. ILLEGALS - not the LEGAL immigrants.

You get "Welfare" in more ways than one...
A hospital (St. Michaels) in Wisconsin closed because too many illegals used it and didn't pay.

Watch the news. States like New Mexico and Colorado are going bankrupt because of the strain the illegals are putting on their economies.

Well, a month ago, I was sure that illegals should be deported. Now, I have learned that the migrants make $9 hour and sprinkled often with pesticide when they are collecting crops.
With the new Bush plan and National Guard at our southern borders, it's become even more difficult for them to cross over. This underclass is here in insufficient numbers for the end-of-summer harvest, and many farmers are reporting HUGE losses as fruits and vegetables rot on the stems.
I hope that you'll enjoy paying ALOT more for your produce...if not now...very soon.

Eventually screw it up? They've already forced closed the doors of over 84 hospitals in Southern California by using the ER as a clinic and not paying the bills!

Yes, but I wouldn't call it importing. I will tell you this though. I'm in the Army National Guard, and we sent a bunch of troops to the border, all the way from WV, and they are catching a lot of people. They are supposed to be there until the Border Patrol is able to recruit and train new personnel.
At least from my point-of-view, it's seems like it's all going to work. Now if we can just fix the problem of the ones we have now.
I say make them learn English, make every able bodied alien serve at least 4 years in the military, then give them citizenship. Or depart the refusers.

I did some research on Mexican migration last year for a class and found that, in the long run, they exhibit the same desire to achieve and better their lives as any other immigrant population. In 2nd and 3rd generations of immigrants, they begin moving towards the suburbs, speak either predominantly or exclusively English and demonstrate pretty high graduation rates.

I say we should stop letting Illegals in before there is no one left "over there" to work in all the factories that we exported to their Countries.

Well, I guess Americans can always go to Mexico and work . Illegals are human beings too. The English were illegals when they came over here and stole the land from the Indians. I guess the people in Iraq feel the same way as you do. They want us outta their country.

Let me tell you what I think about it. Maybe the system might get screwed up but I cant see my self telling another person that they cant have the same rights as I do no matter where they are from. And if they ask me for help I will help them or anybody.

Who is picking your lettuce? Cleaning your office? Stop all the undocumented traffic into this country and THEN watch the system collapse.
By the way, you can't get on welfare if you are undocumented. That shows how little you understand what is happening.
