Who's the best at fair price?

Of the three brands you listed, they are all fair priced for what you get. I would go for either Sony or Samsung, depending what you're willing to spend. Hitatchi isn't a bad brand, but it's comparable to Sony in price and quality and Sony is a far more popular brand. Samsung is a lower-end brand than Sony and Hitatchi, but I think it's one of the better low-end brands if you're not wanting to spend as much on a Sony or Hitatchi. My mother recieved a 19" Samsung TV as a gift 5yrs. ago and it has surprisingly good picture quality and still works great. The monotone sound quality leaves much to be desired, however. I fixed that by hooking up my 50w Aiwa stereo to it and now she has wonderful stereo sound when she watches TV.
Stay away from Emerson, GE, Sanyo, and brands you've never heard of. I strongly urge you not to purchase major electronics at stores such as Wal-Mart if you plan on keeping them for many years because they tend to be of very poor quality and durability, no matter the brand. A friend of mine bought a GoVideo (very cheap brand) DVD player from Wal-Mart for $26. After using it twice, it stopped working. She exchanged it for another one, which also broke after very little use. She then exchanged it for a more expensive Magnavox DVD player and she's had that one for a few years now.
I learned that the hard way. I purchased a Phillips 13" TV for $200 14yrs. ago at Sears. Of my choices, it had the best picture, color, and sound quality for the money. It still works wonderfully to this day. 4yrs. ago I purchased the most expensive Phillips VCR offered at Wal-Mart for $85, after having such great experience with my Phillips TV. Even brand-new, it had terrible tracking ability compared to my 15yr. old Quasar VCR, which I prefer to use still for this reason. It was NOT worth the $85. My Toshiba DVD player has been great so far, but it's only a 2yrs. old with mild use.
So if you want something inexpensive, Samsung is your best bet. If you don't mind paying a little more for better quality and longer life, go with Sony.

for lcds and plasma's samsung is the best and the fairest priced, hitachi is high priced but they do make all their own parts which makes repair easier to get parts. sony still makes the best glass tube tvs but fall short to samsung in lcd plasma tv, besides you pay for the name of sony

Hitachi is the best of the 3, but Samsung is a better value. Sony is just kind of crappy.

I had a Sony tv growing up and it lasted for at least 10 years; on the otherhand i have a samsung cell phone and it's pretty good quality so i'm not sure. to get a professional opinion go to cnet.com or look it up on consumer's reports.

all three are good. every brand has some problems just stay with a name brand and you will have better luck. which ever one has the best picture to you is the one you should buy. and think about a extended warranty if you are concerned about problems
