please don't do anything just because it might impress someone. Improve your personality for you here are some tips
make a list of all the personality traits that you admire in other people..
Then go out of your way to use these in everyday things.
If you admire some one who has a big vocabulary then learn new words and use them.
Take an interest in what others are doing. Focus on how others are doing and what there needs are.

I've always thought that the book "I'm OK, You're OK" was a great book for learning to improve your personality and become a more mature, responsible adult. It explains how transactional analysis can make you more aware of how you are treating people and how they are treating you. For instance, if you talk to somebody like they were a parent, instead of like they were a friend, then they may treat you as a child rather than as an equal. It's very interesting. I recommend the book.

I think that greeting people with a smile creates a pleasant and lasting impression. Do not ramble in conversations, insult others or their loved ones, nor ask invasive questions. Finally, listen to others and try to learn from those who are well liked and successful around you.

Don't try to impress people - you win some and you lose some. Work on being the person you want to be - impress yourself - and people will naturally want to be near you.

I think what everyone should do to improve their personallity is first to FORGIVE ONESELF. Without this, no amount of smile, politeness and etc will work. Forgiveness is making peace with yourself and your past. Then you'll be happy and see things differently. Later comes the smiling part because smiling is the sign of peaceful heart. Try it!! And Good Luck...

Always try to have your mouth curl"UP" at the edges and keep a positive attitude. The positive attitude is contageous. It transmits to others that you are interested in them and what they have to say. It's more about "they", not "you". Greeting your co-workers in the morning with a cheery "good morning", makes them feel good and they in turn will pass it on to others. Try it for a few days and you will see that it does work.

Four Agreements You Need for Living a Life With Value
In his book "The Four Agreements," Don Miguel Ruiz distills the essence of Toltec wisdom into four principles for living a life of value:
1.Be impeccable with your word.
2.Don't take anything personally.
3.Don't make assumptions.
4.Always do your best.
How elegantly simple! But simple wisdom isn't common practice. While most of us believe we are impeccable with our word, we know others who are not. And most likely, others, from time to time, consider us far less than true with our word.
The Four Agreements are deceptively simple, yet difficult to apply. With practice, they're extremely effective, providing a way to experience inner peace and happiness.
Each agreement is self-directed. It's not about what you can do to change someone's behavior. Rather, these guides teach us how to respond appropriately to others' difficult behaviors and develop smoother relationships.
So, how do you apply these principles at work? Let's examine each one.
1. Be impeccable with your word. Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using words to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.
2. Don't take anything personally. Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won't be the victim of needless suffering.
3. Don't make assumptions. Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness, and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.
4. Always do your best. Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse, and regret.

Remember names and something small about everyone you meet, like how many children they have or where they grew up or their pet's name. You will impress them and make them feel special the next time you meet them.
