next time he runs 104 temp take him to the ER they will screen for everything. That is just not good news when they run a temp that high, although sometimes high fevers in young children can be viral in nature and they just need to run their course.

our older one is 3 and a half now, he had a bad cold at 2 and he hed fevers like this for 7 days, no more symptoms. we are both doctors, eventually we gave him antibiotics after a few days, that too without relief. his fever went away after a few days with no residual problems.
What I learnt was, keep the fevers down, control the symptoms and watch for any new symptoms that suggest a disorder that can be treated
any quesitons, feel free to email me

Try this: put a pot on stove and wait till its hot. Then take it out of stove and put rubbing alchohol on it. , move the hot pot like swinging it a bit so the alcohol gets warm. Your son should be taking a warm shower(opens his pours up) and when he's ready mix the hot alcohol with a gallon or so of hot/warm water, then put it on him, make him tilt his head back so he wont get any on his eyes( tell him to close them), but its better the alcohol does get his head and whole body. This will take out all the cold in his body thats causing the fever, and make sure to keep him indoors the whole day and doors shut and everything. then right away cover him up with a towel. then get him on the bed and put another sheet under him for the next thing. You should have another hot pot which you would put alcohol again. then with the hot alcohol put it on him as you dress him. like put alcohol then shove socks right away, and so on. so start putting his socks and long sleeve shirt and long pants, try drying his hair with towel, but make sure he doesnt get any air. then let him take a blue pill called "desenfriol" its mexican known pill that's kinda like tylenol but works waaay better. try getting a prescription from a doctor yet if not then use tylenol or other prescription you already have. ive had what ur son has and trust me doing this process has saved my life.

p.s. you have to do the alcohol process, like putting it on him quickly because the alcohol gets cold fast. and make sure not get your son or yourself burned with hot alcohol, also make sure you don't put alcohol when cooking the pot, you have to take the pot out of stove then put the alcohol in hot pot. it will work , hope it turns out well

stop feeding him red meat. Grapefruits create antibodies that fight off viruses and bacteria. green leaf vegies cleanses the digestive tract and also strengthens the immune system. water naturally reduces fever. don' t give him any medicine. let his body's natural system of healing work on its own. after two days, if it doesn't get better, check for chicken pocks and get a second opinion. often times we rush to find a remedy when the body is capable of doing the job once we eliminate the elements in our lives that have negative impacts on our health (i.e. school related stress, poor diet, lack of rest, lack of exposure to the sun and other natural elements)

I don't know what it could be, but that sounds very strange. Maybe you should take him to a larger medical center, or do some online research from reliable medical sites.
