Yes all the time
but life itself is full of struggle
The struggle to make the right decisions in life.......the struggle to take the right path and the biggest Struggle for us all is the Struggle to stay on that Path and not Stray from it........(which by the way is so easy to do)......But hey if we did not have these struggles in life then Life itself would seem quiet Boring(nothing to do)

Yes. I agree with you.
moreover we spent 1-2 hours on cooking the finest food, but how many seconds do we taste it in our mouth?!
perhaps 1 or 2 seconds only and then it goes down and we don't taste it any longer!
people walk and talk as if they own the world, but if thier hearts stop beating just for a second, then they are nothing!!
people build high towers and buildings, they decorate these buildings and houses. But it is just a hurrican or a heavy flood that can take it away from them.
man keeps guards and securities to protect himself, but what if his heart stops suddenly? Can all these or any of these securities save him??
We sleep, wake up, eat, work, have sex, look after children, again we sleep, wake up...and it continues . So what is the end?
often we get bored by what we are doing. Therefore, we go for a change then later we get tired by that, then we change again..so what is the end? Are we going to live like this forever?
No. This life should be an artificial and there should be a life where we will not get bored, tired, angry or anxious. Where we would live happily for ever. Since this is what all human being are looking for and the Allah who created this human being surely knows what he wishes for.

I appreciate your view of community. It would be wonderful if we were all contributing to a less selfish community. Yes, I agree, we are caught up in a rat race. How do we get out? Is there a way or a place to escape? Or are we faced to stay?
There are cruel realities in this world. I personally have had to pick and choose the ones I want to fight hoping the others are going to be managed by someone else. Where is this world going to?
We are now a part of the human race who are more devoted to materialism, capitalism and economic warfare. Nature vs Nurture. We are too willing to compromise the goodness of our own people to make an extra dollar! It is sad, really.
Life, artificial? My existence is no different than the existence of a fly. It is a life, a creature on this Earth needing to survive and doing what is necessary to survive. Why cloud it with material nonsense? Why not just exist with a respect to others existence?

King Solomon said all our work was just to feed our face. The Scripture says not to become caught up in the cares of this life.
Few things we work for turn our thoughts to
heaven. The Lord Himself said "take no thought for tomorrow...".
Letters to the early Christians advise that food on the table and clothing for the body is enough. Doesn't say anything about a roof over your head or a garage full of junk you no longer use.
One Scripture says we should work enough so that we would have something extra to help others. We are also advised to "owe no man anything...." and not to go into debt or charge interest, to tithe ten per cent, to support widows and orphans.....
Where I am at more than a few wives are no longer working and other men are adjusting to allow their wives to move out of the work force and be at home, with or without kids. Some of the women have a home business or do sales but no longer are tied to 40 hour plus weeks.
The artificial part is real. The powers of darkness stroke you into all this stuff and then you pay and pay and pay. It's called Satan's Eden. God didn't save us for this so don't you sit still for it.

Sounds like you need to step back and take a good look at your life because you can't judge everyone else by yours. Perhaps you let yourself get caught up in a rat race and you are living beyond your means. If you don't know where your earnings are going and what it's for, you are in deep do do. Some of us love our jobs and don't work for metal and paper, but to keep a roof over our kids head, keep them safe and warm and provide them with a good education. Some of us hate our jobs and still get up every morning and do our best for those we love and love us. And at the same time try to better our our lives by looking for other means of support while we keep our current jobs. If you think animals have it better, then become one. Let someone else choose your food, hopefully they won't forget to feed you, leave you alone all day while at work and what time of day you can go out and how long you stay out, learn to beg and play stupid games that involve you running around, back and forth, chomp on rawhide chips, and oh Lord, don't have an accident because you know what that means and they put stupid clothes on you, etc, etc, ---OH sure, they have it better. Right!

I really think that it is a societal question. Some cultures value different aspects of life. No culture is perfect, but some cultures are better suited for life than others. Our culture emphasizes money. Many of the things that we do in this country revolve around money. Some say that a census was done in different country and some of the poorest countries in the world reported that the people were the happiest. Don't get discouraged. There are things that make life worth living. Look inside your heart and if you haven't already, find your spiritual being. To me, this is God our Creator. Look at the beauty in things. Take time to savor food, to awww at sunsets, to breath deeply, to really hear music. Every sensation that you have, take it in deeply. That is when life really exists at its truest state.

hmm, reminds me of one of my favorite movies. To quote from the movie:
Neo: Because I don't like the idea that I'm not in control of my life.
Morpheus: I know *exactly* what you mean. Let me tell you why you're here. You're here because you know something. What you know you can't explain, but you feel it. You've felt it your entire life, that there's something wrong with the world. You don't know what it is, but it's there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad. It is this feeling that has brought you to me. Do you know what I'm talking about?
Neo: The Matrix.
Morpheus: Do you want to know what it is?
Neo: Yes.
Morpheus: The Matrix is everywhere. It is all around us. Even now, in this very room. You can see it when you look out your window or when you turn on your television. You can feel it when you go to work... when you go to church... when you pay your taxes. It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth.
Neo: What truth?
Morpheus: That you are a slave, Neo. Like everyone else you were born into bondage. Into a prison that you cannot taste or see or touch. A prison for your mind.
BTW, the answer is not really in religion, as that's just buying into another form of servitutide. The answer is to dispel all illusions and all the advertisement telling you what you really want and instead discover that for yourself. Then understand who you're really work for and why, and then instead learn how to work for yourself and for your friends and family and not those who stealing your soul from you.

Purpose what's my purpose on this earth. I think that's what your question is about and what it centers on and why you probably asked it. My purpose here is to not only love my friends and family but to fullfill the will of God and that is to know Him more and more daily and to lead others to do the same. I'm mearly in this human body to fullfill a mission. Once that is complete and God comes to take me home to Heaven I'll really have started my "real life". This life is temporary so lay your treasures above. Make the most of each day and each moment. Live your life for God now or loose it in the end. Carpe Deim. Sieze the Day.

Yes...almost daily...I'd like to live in simpler times. I'm not saying there weren't hardships but there seems to have been a greater sense of belonging. Your role was more clearly defined as a member of a tribe (& no church didn't feel that way to me).
Most of us work damned hard now & seem to forget why we're working...we have less time for our loved ones & to cherish life.
Technology is great & just another tool to connect with others...but before we had it...we didn't miss it.
Debra...you aren't alone!

I know exactly what you mean. So many people are caught up in the rat race, that the things that really matter begin to lose meaning to them. People become obsessed with making more money, acquiring more stuff, keeping up with the Joneses, etc. and lose touch with themselves and the people around them. Life becomes a meaningless routine, an imitation of life really. Kind of depressing, eh?

I see beauty in all things I do. They needn't be extraordinary or amazing for me to feel as though my life has purpose. While these thoughts drop into my mind from time to time, i never forget my family, friends, and faith that make my life worht living everyday.
The rat race is not perfect, in fact it's beautifully flawed. It may seem endless, but the journey isn't boring; rather i believe that life is perfectly flawed, that is to say it's perfect in it's inperfections.
Beautiful things happen everyday: single parents raising their kids for a college education, a dad teaching his son to play baseball, someone giving up their seat on a subway to an elderly person. Beauty happenes everyday, we just gotta open our eyes and see it.
