Hello Curious. It is always good to ask for mercy and forgiveness, however God does not know anything about your sin, murder included. God has reconciled all to Him--Self, not imputing anybodies sin whatever form it takes. By the way, sin is not what you do, sin is a feeling of an independent you living a life of self survival where all sin is committed. Jesus who was Holy and blameless was made sin for you so that you who is living is fear of hell because of what you did, can now go free. Can you believe the Love that God has for you? Accept the fact that there is not a sin, not even murder that God has not cancelled out when Jesus said; "It was finished" Legally you will never be judged for what you have done in the past, not even murder. Guilt is the feeling of remorse that you still feel and as long as you believe that you are guilty, your sin will haunt you until you die. So now accept the lamb of God as your saviour, then all memory of guilt and fear of condemnation will be blotted out by the blood of the Lamb of God. You can read my testimony at the address below.

As long as you don't murder someone with the intention of asking forgiveness just to get into Heaven. God knows your true heart. But if that should happen and at some time you truly repent and ask forgiveness and accept Jesus as your saviour, then yes, you will go to heaven.

If you truly repent...yes you will go to heaven. There is no sin too great that God will not forgive. Read Acts 8 & 9. You will see the story of Saul. You will learn that Saul murdered and imprisoned God's people (Christians). You will also learn that God forgave Saul of what he had done and then used him to reach others with the Gospel. Also read Philippians, this will give you some insight as well into the life of Saul (Paul).

The first thing that someone should be considering is whether the idea of sin is actually real.
If God is supposed to be perfect how could She have made anything or anyone that wasn't perfect.
Think about it. The idea of sin assumes certain things about God that seem highly unlikely.
First it assumes a God who is too incompetent to organize a simple educational field excursion and figure out a way to get all of the students home safely.
How likely is this that God would not be smart enough to come up with a plan for our salvation that is going to work?
It also assumes that God must have created us imperfect if we are sinners.
One might assume that God would be able to create someone perfect each and every time if he chose to. Assuming God is capable of this, then it follows logically that we must be perfect creations if we are actually creations of this perfect God.
Unless of course you are saying that God chose to create us imperfect.
If God created us imperfect then anything that may go wrong is Gods fault, not ours. This seems a bit illogical at best so I think that we need to assume that What God creates would have to be perfect.
If this is the case and Gods creations are perfect, then nothing that we can do could change what God created perfect and make it imperfect unless we think that we are more powerful than God is.
How likely is it that we the creation could be more powerful than the creator. I personally find this idea somewhat amusing, and a bit absurd.
Religion tells us that God is perfect. If this is true then it could hardly be logically for Gods creations to be considered to be anything less than perfect.
If this is the case then Nothing that we can ever do could possibly change this perfection that God willed, unless we were so powerful that our choices could override and change the will of God.
How likely is that????
Think about it.
The idea of sin is simple nonsense; a lie made up about God by religion.

Yes. A person who has murdered someone can repent, ask Jesus for forgiveness and accept Him as their savior, and be saved.
Now...someone being sneaky, like thinking they are going to do all sorts of things that are horrible, then repent and "get away with it all", God usually brings people like that up short. For instance, you could sin, sin, sin and get hit by a bus before you repent.
Not a good idea to try and trick God. Can't be done.

Everyone goes to Heaven. The good and the bad. There are two sides to the Gulf in Paradise and its best to be on the side where Abraham is.
A person that commits murder cannot have forgiveness in the flesh body. God requires that a murderer be killed so that their spirit can meet with the one they killed and God to work out forgiveness.
I would not play with or tempt God in any fashion.><>

Sin that is presumptuous and selfwilled is the worst kind of sin.To sin willfully expecting that God will forgive puts us in the place of God. Remember satan was cast out of heaven for thinking himself equal with God.It's a small thing for God to forgive any sin no matter what . But we should never take for granted His mercy.Esau was such a man."For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing ,he was rejected ; for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.Hebrews 12:17.My answer to your question is no , but then again, I am not God.

Why on Earth must you fear heaven or hell? That's like fearing la-la-land or somewhere over the rainbow.
If you murder someone then you are a murderer in the eyes of mankind.
After your death I don't think it will matter anymore.
I doubt there's anyone/anything waiting with a list of your sins ready to judge you.
Alls you gotta worry about is being put on Santa's naughty list.

Personally, I don't believe in the notion of heaven or an afterlife. But, hypothetically, if there were a heaven, I think that if you truly felt sorry for what you did, asked forgiveness, and did your best to make amends, then God (or whatever higher power you believe in) would forgive you.

Not if you do this with pre-meditation.
If you murdered someone, then sincerely repented (e.g., do your best to make restitution), and ask forgiveness based on Jesus' death on the cross, then you can be saved.
However God is not a fool to be deceived. If you murder someone with the intention of admiting your sin later and asking forgiveness -- such alleged repentence will NOT lead to salvation.
Cordially,
John
