besides them being emotional and emo= emotional..wat do they do and why are they emo?

I'm sorry but sugasweet cutie, jettalady, and Krizzle's Fw... are wrong
emo people are sort of like goths but not all of them (including me and some of my friends) slit their wrists. Emo people are, yes, usually teenagers and young adults but nothing has to be wrong with them, maybe they are (like me) going through a rough patch and are trying to find themselfs and have seen that being emo for a while has helped them figgure out who they are
if your like me at some point in your life you are/have been/will be an emo kid even if it isnt by todays standards of "emo"

emo is short for emotional.
Kids that are way too dramatic that just want to die when their parents ground them... people like that.
Its also a form of music that is very depressing and talks about depressing things.
Not to be confused with 'scene' kids. Which are just kids that are overly trendy. the word 'scene' is just for the way someone dresses. The word 'emo' is for how someone acts.

Emo = EMOtional.
Emos are people who are tired of life. People become emo by a huge tragic emotional experience. Emos slash their wrists with knives or shards of glass. It's not good to be emo...but if that's how their happy...fine by me.

They are supposedly like a "goth" type person who may stick out from the crowd. This is a stereotype, though. I don't like the term. But, they are also not supposed to be happy and thats why they are emo(emotional). Its so stupid and it isn't nice.

well, mine makes good grades, wears his hair long and wears black. he plays games has friends and is a good photographer. he is also vegan, but not all his friends are vegan. they putt-putt it.
The only thing he can't do, but would love to do is play baseball. Due to the stigmitazation of long hair on guys, he can't play unless he cuts his hair....(this is another issue) sorry. lol
is this what you didn't expect to hear?
as far as being emo, they are emotionally attached (sensitive more than others about life and death). this is a dark phase and not all cut their wrists ect.
my son put up with a grandfather that was an asshole all of his life and while on his death bed told the boys he loved them....what a better way to show it eh?

it is just another catagory for a phase that kids go thru when growing up...
their behavior is exemplified by the music they listen to, the books they read, and other emos they hang out with.
keep an eye on your child, if they are like this, just to make sure they do not go too far but let them be who they are..they will eventually grow out of it...
