Does anybody know of any good Pagan prayers? Any will do, but it would be even better if they were specifically towards Ra, Horus,Thor,or Odin. Thanks!

There's the _Book of Pagan Prayer_ by Cesiwr Serith, as well as the _Book of Hours_ (in two volumes) by Galen Gillotte.

You can also do what these two authors did for yourself: Gillotte wrote her own poetry and hymns to the deities she felt inspired by; Serith researched ancient writings and picked what seemed most exemplary or insiprational to him.

So for Thor and Odin read the _Poetic Edda_. For Ra and Horus read something like Lichtheim's _Ancient Egyptian Literature_ (in three volumes). Then use that as a starting point to either excerpt some things which you can use as prayers, or as inspiration to write your own prayers.

Here is our dinner grace-

The earth gives us the food we eat
The sun warms it and makes it sweet
The seeds are spread on the wind that blows
The rain falls down to help it grow
We now remember all who give
Of themselves that we may live.

And here is a SkyFather prayer in celebration of rain (means I don't have to haul buckets to the field. Definately worth praying about!)

As the sky burst forth
Its tender droplets cool my heated skin
And disappear into the thirsty ground
The parched blossoms raise their heads
To receive this blessing from the sky
And I rejoice
Behold the Lord of the Heavens
As he loves the Earth His bride
Behold as he caresses her with the coolest breeze
And bathes her withered brow
That she may face the morning fresh and new again.
All of nature rejoice and harken
The rumbling cry of triumph from the sky.

Make me strong in spirit,
Courageous in action,
Gentle of heart,

Let me act in wisdom,
Conquer my fear and doubt,
Discover my own hidden gifts,

Meet others with compassion,
Be a source of healing energies,
And face each day with hope and joy.

Table Blessing

From forest and stream, from mountain and fields, from the fertile Earth's nourishing yields, I now partake of the Divine Energy; may it lend me health, strength, and love.
---------------------------------------
Meal Blessing

Blessed be the Earth for giving birth to this food
Blessed be the Sun for nourishing it
Blessed be the Wind for carrying its seed
Blessed be the Rain for quenching its thirst.

Blessed be the hands that helped to grow this food,
To bring it to our tables
To nourish our minds, bodies, and spirits.

Blessed be our friends, our families, and our loved ones.
Blessed Be.

We Are One

I pray we, all children of the earth, no matter our path to enlightenment, come to realize that we are one. We may walk our own paths, but we are not alone, for we walk at the same time, toward the same end/beginning. From our individual perspectives, be we Pagan, Christian, Muslim, Jew, Buddist, Taoist, or Hindu, are the same. I pray that we all feel the love of our Creator(s) and by example learn to see each other as brothers and sisters, allowing the boundary lines of religion to fade away. May the Lord and Lady bless your path. May you always have enough, and may you give enough in return. Blessed Be.

edit: I'm an agnostic myself but religion isn't necessary for gratitude for all the wonders and sustenance of this planet. I did for get to add my source:

Absolutly "God,forgive me for being a pagan"

So many of the answerers here want to worship the creation and not the One who created it all.
Have fun with all your little faries,man-made idols, imagined gods,I guess we'll find out who's right when the end-times are here-at least I know where my eternal destiny is- And there isn't any air conditioners in Hell either !!
