Isaiah 64: 8 says that God is the potter and we are the clay. It is God's job to mold us to what He wants us to be. Often though we try to take control of our lives and become the potter instead of the clay. My question for you is simple. Are you the clay? Or do you often try and take contol and become the potter?

God is THE POTTER!I think at times we all try to be the potter though! We are all sinners and there are things we try to do on our own."If that's what you mean"But I sure try from day to day,to
do for God and not for me!

Yes, We become Potter and Religion becomes clay. Religion is created by those people who wants to have a control over rest.

I say the following:

God, grant me -
- the serenity to accept the things I cannot change.
- Courage to change the things I can, and
- Wisdom to know the difference.

God as the potter gives this clay the freedom to express itself within its limitations. As a lump of clay, I can make either something worthy of myself or I can make something unworthy. I do have a choice and god gives me choice.

He gives us all choices every day every time. I ask for his guidance and take it a step at a time. Sure he is the potter, but he also manufactured the clay, and believe me, you and me are no ordinary clay.

Yes, it is correct. God is the potter and we are the clay. But, given our basic instincts, we jump out of the wheel and try to become something on our own. It doesn't work that way. We were supposed to be on the wheel to get shaped. Unless we submit totally to His will, we may not become anything. We wriggle out of God's hands, He brings us back and puts us on the wheel and the cycle goes on and on.. Its in our hands to stop this vicious cycle and submit ourselves totally to His guidance in our life. Then we may hope of becoming something.

Iam the clay sitting on God's pottery wheel waiting to be formed into what He wants and desires of me. I do God's will, not my own

I think leaving it up to God is the easy way out...we have to think for ourselves & live the life we've chosen to live. How can we possibly mold ourselves into anything of meaning unless we take control of our own wheel...so yes, I'm the potter & so is everyone else.
