I spent six months on a jury in first degree murder trial in California.

The best I can tell you is could range from probation to 15 years or more.

Contact a district attorney and tell them what you had in mind, I'm sure they can provide an answer with tighter parameters.

Go to findlaw.com for the answer, if you really want to do time. Or you could come to Trona, CA to commit the crime and I promise you'll never even be charged for it.
