Someone said something about fasting alot during diets?? What does that do? and I actually forget exactly fasting is... Can someone explain that too? Thanks!

Fasting is letting your body take a rest from the sometimes hard-working process of digesting solid foods. Fasting is done by mostly consuming liquids (orange juice is good) for a period of time. The benefits are a rested, refreshed digestive system and a flushing out of harmful toxins. After coming off a Fast the body will need healthy food to continue it's function of supplying the cells with nutrients.

fasting = not eating at all for a certain amount of time usually people do it for a certain amount of hours
fasting can also be not eating a certain food for a certain amount of time.
fasting doesnot really help as far as losing weights concerned because you have to eat alot before and after the fast usually people will eat a big breakfast and not eat for 10 hours after and then will have a huge dinner which means the fast did absolty nothing
Fasting is not a affective way to lose weight because you can only keep fasting for so long. Try going on a diet with less carbs, and excerise.

Some people fast for spiritual reasons. Fasting involves depriving the body of all food for a period of time or for certain hours in the day. 3 to 7 days is the normal time to fast, but longer is dangerous. No fast should include denying water.
Fasting to lose weight is counter productive. When you deprive the body of calories it will retain what it has (fat) to compensate. You cannot fast long enough and stay healthy to lose weight. If you want to fast for that purpose, forget it.

Fasting isn't good unless your praying and fasting.

Instead of fasting to loose weight, try a very high fiber diet. Take in all the fiber you need for the day and replace all your drinks with water and green tea or black tea.

I know, I lost 16 sizes I went from a size 28 to a size 12. I'm 5'10 so a 12 isn't bad.

It helps get rid of toxins in your body, HOWEVER, it also is gunna slow your metabolism and make your body hold onto it's fat. If you want to do fasting, do it with the intent to cleanse your body.. don't use it as a means to lose weight. I'm not an expert, so if you wanna fast, you needa find a safe way to do it and prepare your body for it.

If you wanna help cleanse your body and not screw up your metabolism, the next best thing is to (for a week maybe) cut out ALLLLL processed foods. Stick to natural (not canned, not frozen) fruit, vegetables, and lean meat.

Fasting is the term for not eating.
The word breakfast means to break from fasting.
(To eat after sleeping. After all, we don't eat when we sleep.)

Some people fast during religious holidays.

My husband is fasting because he is suffering from
panceatitis.

You might even fast for a couple of days
if your are sick to your stomach.

I can't see any reason for fasting while dieting unless your
advised by your Dr. to do so.

As a christian I fast for god , in the bible fasting is used a bit some consider it self punishment cause ppl who done wrong fast so god can forgive them ,other's fast for other ppl such as a sick grandmother I seen this happen my church nis fasting as we speak for a bigger church each member picks a day to fast there are many to fast but always in god's name

dont fast its so unhealthy for you. just another peice of advice. EAT LOTS OF FOOD! lol. or if , i mean your seriously tryin 2 loose weight or something then go on a healthy diet that is actually good for you. and not atkins or anything becuse it has like no nutrition.
