Supporting it. This is not now, nor has ever been a racial issue. The issue is that our senior citizens are eating cat food and going without medical help just to get by. The issue is that real life or death emergencies are being overlooked because our emergency rooms are so damn packed with un-insured who refuse to use the local clinics. The issue is that we have laws in place regarding car insurance liability and other laws that everyone is SUPPOSED to be abiding by. AND THEN, throw in someone who has bypassed the entire system, who doesn't know any better because they cut in line and missed that part, who decided that since they are not legally here they don't have to abide by our laws - the whole system collapses. If something isn't done soon, it will collapse and the legal Americans are the ones that will suffer the consequences in the harshest ways possible.

Well that would depend on the manner of enforcement. If it's to keep drugs out, then there was nothing wrong with the system in place before. If we're talking terrorism here then maybe we should look to canada because that's where they came through originally.

As far as la linea's concerned, i'm with my people. The one's who actually believe that this is still the land of the free. The one's who really don't take freedom for granted. The one's for whom freedom isn't only a word...

¡sí se puede!

Yes.

The US needs to enforce border control and send ALL illegal individuals residing in the US back to their respective countries. By allowing illegal immigrants to work and get paid "under the table" or pay taxes utilizing false social security information; we are sending a message to the world that we are "hypocrites".

Where my conflict over border control arises is where the US allows illegal immigrants "waivers" or "exceptions", medical care, and State support... when individuals from countries not attached (by borders) to the US have to be sponsored and "pay their dues" to become citizens: and US born citizens have to fight for medical and State care (which they usually do not receive) - and from appearances... appears to be freely handed out without question to illegals.

This country was built on hard working immigrants from all over the world who "legally" immigrated to the united states. I am from a family who legally immigrated to the US.

The process may be lengthy, but hundreds of thousands of people apply to become citizens through immigration every year. They patiently wait their turn to be interviewed, and eventually become citizens.

I support enforcement of our immigration laws and deportation of ALL illegal immigrants and closing of our borders to prevent further illegal immigration. I support prosecution of employers of illegals. That's the side of the line that I am on!

We have drawn a line in the sand and should not let people cross it, Just because it has been going on for a long time does not mean it must continue. If people want in this country, do it the right, LEGAL way.
Those from the Balkans that fled war and genocide had to follow the rules to get in, why should Central Americans get in under the radar and expect the same results?

I do not see the logic in supporting criminals. We should all abide by the law. Ridiculous as it sounds, I think all people should have rights as equals. Not catering to those who think they are not doing anything wrong or should be given amnesty for their crimes, such is the opinion of most criminals. If anything I hope these people learn how to do for themselves and solve the problems that they have run from.

You shouldn't enforce racist and fascist laws against immigrants any more than Jim Crow laws preventing black people from voting or going to school with whites should be enforced.

We have to fix our laws and clean up our immigration system before we can truly enforce it.

I support doing what we have to do to close the borders, I do not support attacking a race as a whole.
