my father died suddenly .i'mthe only child .lived in canada for 11 yrs. go home take of everything about my father and mom.in-laws turn against me and my children(we,my husband and three children )went home to my country.now my husband want to settle with his parents.i don't want because of pain they did to me.what to do?

my in-laws turn againts me &my children. they complain everythinga and accused of brain washing my husband and children. i am nice with them and financially helpful when they asked for help.now my husband wants to make peace with them .i don't agree,because they proved to me that they don't care about what i feel ,they did these at the time of my father burial.don't know what to do?.i was so depress up to now.

tried talking but no used.father in -law is one sided .don't listen to any explanation done by my husband and me.always siding with his elder son and his wife.

they complained everything from electricily ,the way we eat ,the way my youngest son behave(how come he don't talk to them-it's the 3rd time my son went home after four years),and the time my children wake up.we tried to explain to them because of the time zone and it's their first time to go home . they don't even consider the fact that we have to stay late for the viewing of my father( an old tradition in my country).my in -laws proved to me that even though i'm in greif they don't care.

Honey, if it's been 25 yrs of hatred, there really isn't much you can do to keep the peace. And there isn't anything you can say that is going to change their views about you. Let it go. If you husband wants to make peace with his family, support him in that, but don't subject yourself to their hatred anymore than you absolutely have to.
