What is too much is the how much you straighten your hair especially since it is so fine. For instance your hair is fine/thin straightening the hair actually extenuates this even more. So adding volume to the hair by either by having the hair wavy rather than bone straight hair is better or a very loose curl. If you miss the length then maybe consider having extensions as not really sure what sort of bob hair style you have and the lengths vary so it varies as hair grows on average grows half an inch a month but this could be affected by breastfeeding, malnutrition and hormonal imbalances. The trims you have are they to maintain the style or because you have a problem with split ends? Therefore if it is to maintain the style then scale down significantly and if it is because of split ends address this issue first.

Hair grows for the average person 1/2 inch per month. I have seen some people grow a inch or 2 in a month with my daughter being one. If you want it to grow out as fast as possible do this as crazy as it sounds it's the truth. Get the very tips of the ends trimmed every full moon. Tell the stylist to lightly trim the ends "dusting". I swear by the full moon trims because the moon affect your body and your hair is part of your body and test have proven in the ahir industry that during the full moon the hair grows the fastest . By trimming during that time it keeps the ends from splitting and the hair will continue to grow.

I'm a hair stylist :)

That usually depends on how fast your hair usually grows. Sometimes when it's cut or trimmed, it grows really fast afterwards. It usually takes me about 3 months to get my hair to grow 2-3 inches.

your hair grows at an average of 1/4 to 1/2 inch a month. nothing you eat or put on it will make it grow faster. getting it cut only helps it grow longer by cutting of the split ends before they have a chance to split up the hair shaft and cause breakage.

depends if they sag etc. The more you think about your hair growing the more likely your going to get frustrated and pull it out waiting impatiently. Take you mind off how long it is and think about what you can do with it as how beautiful it is now. I am trying to grow my hair it is very time consuming.
