Go to the immigration office in person. File a complaint against him. Give them a copy of your divorce papers. Talk to an attorney and explore your options. my wife became a citizen and it took 11 years for the process. He is going about the process wrong. He must prove that he is still married to you and if he can't his working permit will expire. His employer will either have to fire him or pay him under the table. the laws have changed and 15 years ago what he did may have worked. Like I said immigration law has changed.

It is a great problem everywhere. Findout his country of origin and file a case against him in that country, that country law may support you to rejoin with yours. Suppose the imigrant from India means, you could file a case in India's court through the marriage certificate obtained at your country. As per India's law the judge asks the petitioner and respondent. If any of the partner against their separation he could not give divorce and recommend to live together. International laws coulod not applicable in this regard.

File for an Annulment or Divorce, if He has been here less than 2 Years He will have difficulty renewing His Green Card, however that really all depends on which Country He comes from, since you did not tell us that I cannot give you any further information.

Good luck getting the gov't to do anything short of anulling the marriage. You could call ICE (Immigration Customs Enforcement), I think they have a website as well, but good luck reporting anything on the site. I don't think they want to hear any reports of illegals, beats the hell out of me as to what they do.

They won't even go find him or arrest him, because damn Bush loves the illegals. (I love you GWB, but sometimes you really piss me off.)

If you filed for him already just send the letter back with an explanation why the marriage is over. If not, google INS and you will find an office in your area and go from there. good luck!!!!

'marriage for citizenship' is getting to be a hot topic, and it's only one of many scams used to gain illegal entry into our country.
